Good interview with Sturridge. Says players want to do it for Gerrard

Gerrard is a legend. I think I will cry if we dont win the title this season

      I'll cry if we do.

Just woke up. City will draw 1-1 with Southampton and then we will beat West Ham 4-1

I don't know what happens after that though
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

I'll do the borat dance if that happens. That's what would happen next.

Southampton will give City plenty of trouble and I can see a 2-2 draw.

Look at the midfield with Gerrard controlling games in his deep lying position, the passing, pressing, forward runs and overall work rate of Henderson. Then we have Coutinho who is really coming back to top form at the right time, the best creative midfielder in the PL right now.

              The attack speaks for itself.

The defence has improved, 3 clean sheets in last 5 games. Still error prone but everyone is fit now bar Enrique and no more reliance on Toure & Cissokho.

We are gonna win this league and I predict we'll wrap it up before the final day.
I wrote a thing about our defence earlier today on the train back from London

Basically, all of our really **** defensive performances (not individual errors) have been against sides that we've beaten comfortably anyway. Against the top sides we've actually been as solid as you'd expect - City benefited from a huge mistake but otherwise had little, we shut Arsenal out at home, Man Utd and Spurs failed to score against us home or away. The only bonkers one from the top 8 was Everton away, but then derbies are always a bit different...and we still should have won that one.

We can do better with a specialist left-back and with Sakho plus maybe one more in the squad next year, but I think that tales of our crap defence are overblown, and are often more due to (successful) tactics than utter ****ness.

Me too, will be pure tears of joy.

Quality article, you make some very good points.

I wouldn't be surprised if we only conceded 3-4 goals in the remaining 6 matches now.

                      Thanks appreciate that.

Hope it remains true for the last 6 games - as you say, I'd only expect us to concede 3 or 4 given our settled back four, our recent performances, and the fact that they'll all be totally focused now.

A well earned recommend from me too. You should get a job with the BBC stats team. They were trying to tell me today that if I ate 7 portions of fruit and veg a day I would have 47% less chance of dying! Personally think I am condemned anyway; but, if we do win 6 games on the trot I am triple guaranteed to die slightly happier than if we don't ...

To put this in context, no team in the top flight has ever won 14 consecutive games in one season which is what we need to do to guarantee the title, the only team to win that many games on the trot was Arsenal which was spent over the end of one season and the start of the next.
