Hopefully we will beat Norwich and then Chelsea will need a win. Means they will have to come out and play, which suits us better. The way I see it there back 4 can be got at, the problem is the midfield screeners.

I am confident Brendan will have a plan to overcome their borefest.

In all honesty I was more concerned about this match than the Man City game for the simple reason City can be got at due to the style of football they play. Chelsea however are different gravy. I said a few months ago on ST Mourinho had reverted back to type due to his team shipping in a lot of goals earlier in the season. They have got a good player in Matic who screens their back four very well. Clearly, they will play a conservative style of football, be very organised and look to hit us on the counter. It's a game I wish Henderson was playing in due to his engine but I'm sure Allen will do a fine job. I see this being a very tight game and I can't call it.
I agree with all of this..however, there is a slight difference this time. if you look at it from their point of view, the plastics have to win, a draw is no good to them.

I'd say they can only be conservative to a certain extent, They have to come and attack us, they have no other option.

Impossible this isn't it. Can't stop thinking about the possible permutations etc.

They were pretty poor against a bang average Swansea side at the weekend, it took them a long time to break the deadlock against 10 men and Swansea probably had the better chances up to that point. If we're on top form we'll beat them but lets get over the Norwich hurdle first

My worry is that we'll score first then let them back into it like we did with City. And with fewer options to come off the bench, it will be hard to change the system.

Then again I'm sure Rodgers is setting up the orange bibs to play like Chelsea so we can learn how to counter them

I have a feeling if we win our next three games, that'll be enough. Think City will slip up again and Chelsea, I can see them losing points at home.
              Are we winning?

I'd imagine we'll see the players that can't play in Europe start i.e. Matic, Ivanovic and Salah.

Yes, most probably. I don't think they have the firepower to cope with us if we're anywhere near our best. They will concede, but you can bet that Mourinho will use all the dirty tricks in his locker to gain an advantage. I won't be surprised if he starts the mind games this week.

I can't wait for Rodgers' counters.

                    * The pressure is on for such an expensive squad
                    * Can he follow his previous success at Chelsea?
                    * He looks like a 60 year old. The pressure is starting to tell isn't it you old cunt!

I think City are a far superior attacking force to Chlessea. If we play as we did against City, Arsenal, Spurs, Utd, Everton etc. we should win.

The pressure will no doubt build to a crescendo soon, but we seem patient and confident just now.

Chelsea are dog **** away from home. I know they raised it against City but they've lost recently at Villa and Palace, lost earlier in the season at Everton and didn't even try to win at Arsenal or United. They will set up much tougher to beat than City but I don't think they can live with us. No one in this league can.

Their defence is much better than most though, i think we'll struggle to break them down. It will be gutting to beat City, only to drop points against Chelsea, but i have a horrible feeling

I could well see us drawing against Chelsea; so we just need to make sure we score a ****load against the other teams in case City win all theirs too

                            We got this
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

If we win our next three, we'll be at least 5 ahead of Chelsea with one game to go. They'll be out of the running.

A draw is no good to Chelsea. They have to come to Anfield and win. How will they approach it is anybodies guess. They might surprise us by actually attacking. Who knows.
                              Oh I don't know.
