Get it to 4 points tomorrow then over the coming weeks while the others are going life and death with Barca, Bayern and Galatasaray we'll be sitting at home resting. Still the big underdogs but we have one of the best attacks on the planet and home games v title rivals, we can do it.

Chelsea have a better squad & in all seriousness, a proven winner as boss who knows how to grind out results. Or so I assumed tonight. This league is crazy. Just when you write teams off and book the ticker tape period for another team, the league gets turned on its head again. Win three games in a row and no matter where you are in the table, you're suddenly looking like you have renewed hope of challenging. Be that for safety, top half, Europa, Champions league or the title itself. Every team is so incapable of being consistent that it's impossible to make predictions.

If we win the next three we look like contenders. Couple of draws and we'd be worried about staying top 4. It's that type of season. I keep waiting for a team to pull away and get breathing space, but it's just not happening.

I try and be objective, but I look at the league table and I can't help but get a tad giddy. A run of four or five wins on the bounce from now and I'll let my guard down.
