The way I see it is, if we keep reaching for 1st and keep the mental strength and philosophy that we can (and will) beat anyone..then we will achieve the aim of finishing in a CL place.

The very minute we sit back and settle for 4th is the same moment we slip into 5th..

I think it's clear from the players that they sense it's on. I dunno what the hell Rodgers has done to them but the concentration and intensity each player played with against Fulham for example was fantastic. You can really see them thinking their way through the game like seasoned pros. Henderson for me is the main example, he plays with a maturity and understanding for someone far beyond his years, likewise Flanagan and Sterling.

I've never seen Gerrard do the captain role quite so well either. He used to be the best player on the pitch and say **** all, but now he's really quite vocal and helping those around him. It's great

The way I see it, we can be as positive or negative as we like, but is up to the players and management team to have the right mindset. My positivity or lack of won't have the slightest effect on anything.

So I'm pretty relaxed about it all.

4th Means nothing.

ManUre have nothing left this season other that the Champions League, and if they should win it, they would take the 4th place spot, possibly at our expense.

That's why we really need to look to third place in order to be secure in qualification .

This may not be as far fetched, as the Mancs would love to screw us over, I can imagine the extra incentive could fire the players and crowd further. Who have the Mances got... Olympiakos? Tough draw there.
