5 draws in 18 games is a lot.

Meh it was 5 years ago. He's gone and after a rocky ride I think we're better off for it.

86 was a fantastic achievement. But when you KNOW you have Tevez, Ronaldo and Rooney on the other side you don't draw 5. Easy as that. You might lose giving your all to win, but you don't draw 5.

But like you say it was 5 years ago and there are still some here that think one way about it and others that think differently. That makes the world go round I suppose.

Not when you win 12 and lose 1 of the other 13 it isn't. It works out at 89 points per season. More than anyone will get this season. ****e that isn't it.

The Rafa thing will never be reconciled. By the end of his tenure I found our football boring to watch and him boring to listen to. Many disagree with me and many also agree and those differences of opinion will never be resolved.

I was and still am glad he was sacked because we might not have Rodgers now if he had stayed. Our football now seems so progressive and IMO is making the philosophies of the likes of Rafa and Pulis seem a bit dated.

I dont think he got to the Pulis stage. He was more at the stage of Houllier's final season for me in terms of quality of football. It was dire. And Napoli are boring to watch too

Ha! No, however anyone tries to spin it, 5 draws in 18 games along with 12 wins is a performance of 2.27 points per game - or 87 points over a season. They are facts rather than opinions. 87 points wins you the title more often than not, so to try and discredit that run is rather silly. If you're trying to claim 5 draws in 18 is a lot you can't just disregard what happened in the other 13. What "cost us the title" that season was United's freakish run and the fact they got 90 points.

Anyway, it's boring and old but it's pretty funny people trying to discredit 86 points, 2.33 goals per game or whatever.

For what it's worth:

Pretty amazing run that. Works out at a 92 point performance over a season.

One of the losses was obviously to us, when we demolished them 4-1 away.
