yeah but that is the fans, not the club who knows what the money will mean to them or the players who wants to play with the best in Europe.

I'm still gutted and pissed off at the same time. Chelsea are a diabolical team to watch and their time wasting is shocking. The worst thing for me was it took the ref until the 92nd minute to book one of their players for it when it was happening as early as the 2nd minute of the game.
We just need to keep going but its knocked the win out of our sails no doubt. Stevie must be gutted waking up this morning. I only hope EFC can do us a favour but I doubt it. Martinez will want to win the game as he is a winner ut the club he manages are a bunch of losers so i'm not hopeful in the slightest.

He's such an optimist. There's no way he'll give up on 4th until it's mathematically impossibleOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostI am absolutely gutted and deflated, but I refuse to accept defeat yet. Everton fans will want them to throw it next week but no way will Martinez be of the same mindset.
I think the players will play for him too, he'll make sure they do.
As for the fans, not one of them will want Everton to win the game, but it's not as easy to support the opposition as it sounds. I'm sure if Everton score the fans will get behind their team, it's impossible not to. It'll be a bizarre atmosphere.
Sadly though given all of Everton's injuries I still think a full strength City will have too much for them

Don't expect a thing from the bitters or Martinez tbh, the blokes not stupid, he knows his long term future as a manger wont be effected by a bad game v Citeh, but help LFC win the title and some bitters will hate him for ever.
Maybe that's too cynical a way of thinking, but football seems to be like that.

No chance. Not his personality at all. You clearly haven't listened to all his interviews. He'll be 100% focussed on getting the win. Absolutely no doubt in my mind whatsoever.Originally posted by Vermilion View PostDon't expect a thing from the bitters or Martinez tbh, the blokes not stupid, he knows his long term future as a manger wont be effected by a bad game v Citeh, but help LFC win the title and some bitters will hate him for ever.

Listened to plenty of his interviews, bloke does not convince me at all. Well see.Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostNo chance. Not his personality at all. You clearly haven't listened to all his interviews. He'll be 100% focussed on getting the win. Absolutely no doubt in my mind whatsoever.
I expect an easy win for City, with Martinez making one his after match oratories on how hard Everton tried, and how he can't fault any of his hard working players.
Hope i'm wrong, but as i say, we'll have to wait and see.
Still think we'll drop at least another two tbh, we've been missing something in our game just of late. imo..

I'm over it now. Was absolutely gutted and drained yesterday, ended up falling out with the Mrs cos i was in a bad mood
She actually summed it up really well (especially as a non footballing watching person). She said that we were the only team that tried, we tried everything but they juts had too many people back at all times and they got 2 fluky goals.
I know that we won't win the league now- but i never let myself believe we would anyway.
Do you know what the most annoying thing was about the match? With all the ****ing time wasting they did, both their goals came in injury timeOriginally posted by fah-qDidn't someone once see Philip Schofield ****ting into a crisp packet?
