Yup it s unlikely but stranger things have happened.
At least we've taken it to the last day of the season which we didn't do in 1997, 2002 and 2009.
I know it can be excruciating at times but I love Rodgers' gung-ho style of play. You score 4 we'll score 5!
A couple of good defensive signings in the off season and with a bit more depth added to the squad the future could be bright... it could be red

We will never win anything with that gung ho style though. Its just like kevin keegans newcastle...Originally posted by ChrisDR1968 View PostYup it s unlikely but stranger things have happened.

We serisouly need a top defesive coach to come in and teach them to defend as a unit... and sack Glenn Johnson.

We will. Had it not been for that Gerrard slip which wasn't because of the gung ho style btw, we'd have had a better chance at the moment.Originally posted by Havors View PostWe will never win anything with that gung ho style though. Its just like kevin keegans newcastle...
We seriously need a top defensive coach to come in and teach them to defend as a unit... and sack Glenn Johnson.
The problem is that individually we have made the highest number of errors that led to a goal in the Prem. We need better defenders in 1v1 situations be it winning the ball in the air or closing down a cross or whatever.Patience when teased often, transforms into rage

**** off. We were concerned about getting 4th at the start of the season. We've got Champions League money coming in, a manager eyeing 6 new recruits to beef up the squad at the very least, and one of the youngest squads in the league, with plenty of scope for improvement.

Why is everyone so convinced that this is our one shot? Get to ****. This is just the start. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Twenty three grand?!?!Originally posted by Chris View PostIt's devastating but this group will be back stronger than ever, we dont have owners who'll wreck the team this time and we arent an old squad. Any Manc, Chelsea etc cunts thinking we'll fall away because we have a few more games now are deluded.
On the plus side I win over 23 grand if City win the league so can go and sulk abroad for a few months
though I still hope the bet loses but no chance now.

I keep reading the same.
We will be better next year. So might Chelsea and City. But so will we.
Players will want to come to us, they will have seen how we play. No ****er is going to pick Spurs/Utd/Arsenal over us now.
The automatic place for the CL is a god send too, as we can get players in straight away without having to get through a qualifier.*Except Michael, who died.

City have little room for improvement. We have tons. Chelsea without Hazard are a joke. It might even itself out with the addition of a top class striker, and it might not.Originally posted by Alex View PostI keep reading the same.

That is wishful thinking! He has great potential but will never be one of the top 3 players in the world. Lets be realistic.Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostWishful thinking by them. We're going nowhere. Sterling will be a top 3 player in the world in a couple of years.
On another note, we need at least 5 excellent players to give us a chance of competing in the league and europe next year.
I personally would break the bank and piss all the blue noses off and offer 25m+ for Barkley, that lad has the potential to be the next Gerrard.

Blessing in disguise.
Losing the title on GD would have been gut wrenching, losing by points is slightly less terrible.
Also, this doesn't really change that much- if City lose 1, we still win it. It also might make City ease of knowing they only need 4 points- leaving them vulnerable.
I feel more confident now than I did before the game for some reason...Originally posted by fah-qDidn't someone once see Philip Schofield ****ting into a crisp packet?

I'm sick of every **** saying this... a few reasons why it's bollocks
We're ahead of our development schedule
We've a young squad (with one or two exceptions) 6 hopefully the likes of Suso, Teixeira, Wisdom will be knocking on the door
Our attacking style will not change - but hopefully it'll be refined & developed next year
'but Man U, Chelsea etc will strengthen' - so will we & we have the CL to dangle as a carrot to sign the next level of players
Being in the CL will hamper us next year - undoubtedly we'll have more games to play yes but we'll also have a bigger better squad to cope
The players will have learnt from this years experience
We have the best young manager in the business who will learn from his few **** ups this year
&...
We have Suarez
We will challenge again next year.....What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins
Batman
F*** off!!!
