What do you want your defensive midfielder to do when there is no real movement ahead?

Poor result today and not the best team selection but this season is all about cracking top four.
We ****ed up today but two of our rivals for that spot dropped points today and hopefully the same will happen on wednesday (yes i do think neverton are in with a shot at fourth).
We definitely need to spend in January.

I don't agree that Lucas and Gerrard played well I think they were below average; the others you stated were piss poor though. We just do not have any dynamism in midfield and haven't had it for years. We spunked a lot of money this summer but didn't get anything there and center mid is the most important position on the pitch IMO.

Movement was very poor wasn't it.

I think it really showed today that this was a bit of a makeshift side and it just didn't work out up top.

How were we not fired up to go out & get all 3 points against a team who haven't done especially well this season!?!?

Henderson and Lucas kept our midfield ticking over. We were reliant on Sterling and Moses to provide that creative spark ... which they didn't. Henderson was all over the pitch covering at right back one minute and bursting forward the next, quite why he (or Lucas) has to offer something going forward, I'm not sure? It'd be a nice bonus, sure - but did you expect a goal threat from either?

Players got chances today to impress.. Sterling,Moses & Toure. Sterling is useless, speed merchant with nothing else, Moses strolls around doing **** all.. hasn't broke a sweat for LFC yet & Toure who can be skatty.. but who IMO has done ok at LFC... was a ****ing disgrace today.

Was saying in the match thread that Toure should have been whipped off at half time.. constantly given the ball away, looked like he was going to **** himself every time in possession & was a banker to make a mistake that would cost us... and he did.

I thought Skrtel had a good game even though two deflections where off him. He literally covered across the entire back line for Toure, the hapless Johnson & Flanno who looked lost. Very annoyed at Rodgers... IMO he showed at complete and utter lack of urgency today. I'm hoping this is not a sign of LFC dropping.

With Sturridge out long term, Enrique out long term & with some horrible fixtures coming up.. we could drop like a stone down the table.

Though Stevie & Lucas were excellent.. faded in the latter parts but worked their bollox off. Henderson as per usual ran around a lot... and did absolutely nothing else. Suarez had an off game IMO but was isolated & kept dropping too deep to get into the game.

All in all, a reality check. At least people will stop talking about the title as we genuinely do not have the squad to compete for it. Out fought & out played today and credit to Hull they deserved it no question.
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

Lucas was fine today. After all, it's never his fault when we can't defend or attack very well because he plays in midfield. His role is to sit in the middle of the pitch, run around a bit and tackle. If he does that, then he does his job. All the other players are expected to do more than that except him, but that's his role so it's okay if he has no impact on the game whatsoever and gets dominated by the Hull midfielders.

Disgrace Why the **** was that a disgrace? We were piss poor, that's it. It's worrying that we're shipping goals at a crucial stage during the season but I think we'll win the next two games, which are both home games. Let's see until next saturday before some of you commit suicide. That would be stupid to do it now. You owe yourself at least another week.
                      Are we winning?

That was poor. Got to question Rodgers' substitutions yet again - he weakens the team throughout the game. Sterling and Moses were our biggest threats today. Johnson wasn't in the game and Lucas was crap. Can't think of anything positive to say.

I think the problem is attracting players of a enough quality to improve our midfield, we obviously tried to sign some.

Lots of utter **** ups today from manager and players. Really shocking how poor Sterling and Moses were though. Toure is down to the manager, if you drop agger you play sakho, not move skrtel to the left side. That said toure himself should have been better..

Need to wake up as a squad. There are tough games coming up and that was shockingly bad.
