I wouldn't worry, I don't think our new recruit has any desire to hang around too long or be taken seriously.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostIt's up to us to not act like cunts and hound off new members because they aren't sunshine and roses about our prospects against better teams.
I'm sure opinions will change should today's result go favourably along with a good account of ourselves (not by a spawny goal)

So basically we aren't good enough to finish top 6, if we do it will be purely down to luck and nothing to do with our **** manager and **** players. In saying that though, if we do miraculously fluke top 6 it's a ****ing disgrace, we should be finishing much higher than that.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Dont think its anything to do with a desire to hang around. Many have concerns over the defence and midfield. I am not confident today or about the other big away games coming upOriginally posted by RedReet View PostI wouldn't worry, I don't think our new recruit has any desire to hang around too long or be taken seriously.

Lucas is not the answer in DM. We need at least two new central midfielders. The goals we concede are schoolboy goals. We should have beaten Everton and Newcastle if it wasnt for the defending. Those dropped points will hit home after games like today imo

He isnt **** but he has been an almost ever present since two bad injuries. He needed to be bought back in gradually. The way we play his positon is so vital that we should not have asked so much of himOriginally posted by chadrtc View PostWait... Is Lucas back to being **** again now? I struggle to keep up.

Lucas & Gerrard are good players, but not a good partnership as neither have great pace and can struggle against younger, more energetic midfields. Playing both in front of the back 4 doesn't really work.
However, today Lucas will be playing along side Allen, with Henderson in front of them. Today our midfield will have more energy, and thankfully with Suarez able to create on his own, the pace of Sterling on the break and the magic of Coutinho, it will mean we will look like a decent side.
The answer long term is getting a top class midfield player who can slot in next to either of Allen, Lucas or Gerrard. FWIW, I think out best partnership at present is Allen next to Gerrard, now Joe has got his groove back. But a rested Lucas next to an inform Joe isn't the end of the world.Forwards.......

It's up to him what he makes of the site and you obviously know him better than any of us, but judging by his posting style I get the impression he won't be bothered one bit by the replies he got, in fact he'll have been expecting it. Obviously I disagree with the content too, but my original response was more a reaction to the 'take it easy because he's new' type posts, as he seems capable of sticking up for himself and won't be easily scared off.Originally posted by Sarb View PostDont think its anything to do with a desire to hang around. It's not a criticism, I hope he stays as long as possible, but personally I'll be stocking up on the

All of it. Every word. Complete nonsenseOriginally posted by alanthomas1969 View PostI can only call it as I see it. Lucas, Allen and Henderson are about the level of Fulham. The 17 bus turns quicker than Lucas, Henderson is just Forrest Gump. And I honestly believe Allen isn't good either. This team is 7 players short of top 4 in my honest opinion.Last edited by Fierce; 15-12-13, 01:40 PM.I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

I just want us to play with no fear and go for it from the off. Yes Spurs have had a couple of confidence boosting results, but I don't think that they've looked that good this season. We need to start the game well because when Rogers has got it wrong away from home this season we've been slow to change things. Hopefully we can quieten the crowd early as well because I hate Spurs crappy songs.Akloppalypse Now !
