And people wonder why this site's lost popularity? The constant negativity and slagging off of individual players even when win. Sure, debate is the point of these forums but jeez we've just scored five away and secured 3 massive points at a ground where everyone seems to struggle. We've made huge strides forward in the last year yet that doesn't seem enough for some. Mad.
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

For me the only negatives in the game were Johnson and Skrtel. Yes we were not at our best but we just played Stoke away and smashed them for 5. Considering we normally get beat there this is a massive result.

For me the 2008 title was lost when we played stoke away and we were shocking and got a poor result when we should have pushed on so to get this result today was outstanding.

We always get **** all at Stoke in the league, and bad luck to boot. Today, we battered them and got some well deserved good fortune for once.

Our attackers are better as a group than in the league, bar City. And even that is debatable. We have scored 4 or more goals in how many games? Do that regularly, and we'll easily finish in the top 4.

People are complaining in here as if we're in a relegation scrap. Get some perspective. 4th was the target, and we are on course for it. Easily. We'll lose probably another 3 or games this season and this will still be enough for 4th.

If you can't enjoy a win with 5 goals scored, go and watch basketball or something.

Oh, and I thought Gerrard did well today in the role assigned. He has been massively underrated the whole season because he is compared to the role he played 3 years ago IMO.

Was it just me or did Lucas play as attacking mid today?

That was a totally crazy game, in the end just glad of the three points. I think the conditions didn't help they just sort of amplified everything we've seen from previous games - going forward we are good, defensively we are shakey. We need to sort out the defence as seemingly whoever plays at centre back we don't look solid neither Enrique nor Cissokho are good enough at left back, Johnson's form has bottomed out and our midfield (from a defensive point of view) needs to be much stronger.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

We've scored 51 goals in 21 league games. Amazing.

Great to see us fighting for our points. Bar Hull, we really do seem to be mentally stronger against the so called poorer teams we used to lose against.
Replace Toure and Cissokho with Enrique/Flanagan and Sakho/Agger and we'd be a hell of a lot tighter at the back.

I've been meaning to make a point on this generally.

We're playing a very attacking game and we're scoring "soooo many goals" as a result which is great. Getting the right balance between attack and defence is one of the hardest things to do in football (obviously), so we're sacrificing some defensive stability whilst scoring all these goals. That's generally fine by me - this is one of the most exciting Liverpool teams I can remember.

Obviously we can (and should) improve our defending. Something is not right with Johnson at the moment and LB has been a problem for a while. Not totally convinced by Enrique and whilst Flannagan has done well there I'm not sure he is a long term option.

With our array of centre backs I think we're well covered there (I don't share the Skrtel is a liability view - although wouldn't mind seeing Agger and Sakho tried together).

So I'm not sure what the main point of my post is, other than it's ****ing great scoring all these goals eh?
