Arsenal (a) Cup 5th round build up

I see this as a free hit. Who gives a **** if we lose - full on top 4/title assault with no distractions. If we win, get in!

I say same team except Agger in for Kolo, full strength, let's ****ing go for it.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Same. Same team sans Toure. Although Tex has a high chance of starting I reckon. It's just in Brendan's style to reward a good display with a start.

i agree - it's easy to say it now, i dont care if we lose - but come match day obvs different and you want all out win!

that said, like i said in the title challenge thread - personally i feel we are at a bit of a risk of burnout/getting caught short in what is still very tight league, and we simply have to keep our key players fit cause we just don't have the cover.

i'd be looking at resting suarez/sturridge/sterling/coutinho/henderson/gerrard - those players are key for us to mount any kind of title challenge and we just do not have any cover of decent quality in any of their positions.

i'd also prob drop mignolet for jones

      --------------------------jones------------------------------

      flanno------------skrtel-----------agger---------------cissokho

      -------------------------allen------------------------------

      ------------------Teix-----------Alberto--------------------

      Ibe----------------------------------------------Moses

      -------------------------Aspas-------------------------------

pick them - tell them to go out, give it their all, play out of their skins and prove they deserve to be in this squad

we won't though - we'll go full strength

Tex isn't ready to start IMO. Another cameo off the bench is what it should be IMO.

If anything, Suarez and Gerrard both need to start, I feel. They're the two spurring the team forward at this point. See their reaction at the younger players celebrating the equalizer -- we shouldn't be celebrating an equalizer. See Gerrard's goal celebrate.

          They know it's on.

There is no chance we’ll see that many changes. Every time we have a cup game people predict wholesale changes, but it just never happens.

If this was our team against Bournmouth with a massive derby just 3 days later, I can’t see how we’ll field a weaker one against Arsenal.

Jones, Cissokho, Toure, Skrtel, Kelly, Henderson, Gerrard, Coutinho, Moses, Sturridge, Suarez.

Edit: Just seen your last sentence.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I so don't care about the FA Cup when there's a Champions League possibility - I didn't really care about it when Kenny got to the final because it was partially masking how atrocious the league campaign we had to endure was.

So, not bothered. If we're out, its one less competition to interfere with getting as high up the league as possible. If they win, its a morale booster and another chance to laugh at Arsenal (which might lead to a hige crisis in their confidence)

I'd like to see some rotation - Allen coming in, Agger coming in, Alberto?

Wonder how Arsenal will approach it.

They'll go for it, Wenger *needs* a trophy, the league is far from a given and realistically I can't see them touching Bayern.

Plus he needs the fans back onside and to avenge that loss against us.

Can't believe their mob boo'd them off the pitch yesterday though. Shocking.

Hopefully. Think I'd prefer to play their first 11 with one eye on Bayern than their reserve team, eager to impress.

Agger, Allen and Aspas in for Kolo, Coutinho and Sterling. Then take off Gerrard, Suarez and Sturridge after 20 mins when we are 5-0 up.
Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

I was backing Aspas but on second thought, I think Aspas will only come into the team at the expense of Sturridge or Suarez. Allen and Agger for me.
