We seem quite nervous and are lucky to be in front. Can't see that remaining the case if we allow Southampton to have it so easy in the middle.

We need to pick one off on the counter attack and shuffle our midfield.
Good post.

we need sterling on for coutinho. sterling on rw, sturridge on lw, suarez drop a little deeper closer to the midfield. gerrard step forward 5 yards, need our midfield to come a little closer to have more contact, options and control.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

We've needed HT since the 25th minute.
Started very well and had control of the game, they started pushing higher up once we started giving the ball away under no pressure and although he weren't the only one Coutinho was the main culprit.
Our goal was lucky but that was a great finish from Suarez.
Flanagan needs a bit more protection for me though they look dangerous coming down that side but not too sure what we can do about it in this system.
Coutinho for me is at risk of being taken off unless he gets his **** together.Vive la France

We've been very lucky Chris. And I think that if we keep same formation or personnel we won't get the 3 points. Either changes needed to be made or the midfield need a drastic improvement.Originally posted by Chris View PostYep, we are playing a decent side away from home, they are going to have spells. You'd think we were losing and about to be relegated judging by this thread. Utterly bizarre.

We are lucky to be ahead, Southampton created the chances needed for a different standing and generally controlled the game.
Our passing have been very poor this half, hopefully we will get better control in the second half. If we got Sterling in, we would be able to press the Southampton initial play better - could be needed IMO.
