I'm really nervous about this one however I was really nervous before Arsenal and Everton at home but really confident before Arsenal,City and Chelsea away so on that basis were going to smash them
Just went onto redcafe. They seem to think a win will knock our confidence and be the start of a blip.
We can tell em from experience it never works out. In recent years we've always had to plan like "Beat X, x beats x, they lose to x, then we're 3 points behind when we win, they lose to x away, we beat x at home and we're level". Never happens, theres a reason we're a distance apart, we're pretty good, they're pretty ****, anything can happen on the day but they havent a hope in hell of finishing above us even if they beat us 250-0.
i'd start allen over coutinho - allen/henderson/gerrard in midfield, sterling/suarez/sturridge in attack
Really? I guess it depends who starts for them, but Coutinho was an absolute warrior against Wilshire, I'd fancy him to do similar to Cleverley. Uniteds defence is pretty disorganised at the best of times lately, I think Coutinho with his close control feeding balls through to the front 3 would massively unsettle them
i really like coutinho - but i just feel allen would give us a bit extra cover in midfield - so for me it would be one of sterling or coutinho and sterling is the more in form at the moment.
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do
I don't think Moyes will start Januzaj. I reckon it's going to be a rigid 4-4-1-1 and he'll have them deep. Moyes knows that Rodgers will pick them apart on the counter attack, so he certainly won't go gung-ho. It'll be a tentative start from them with the hope they nick a one, nil or a moment of brilliance from Rooney, Mata or Van Persie.
I think Gerrard has the grit between his teeth; he knows this is a good a chance as any for that elusive title and he'll be protecting that back four like his life depends on it. We'll be resilient at the back because of that and we'll run amok at a shoddy defensive line. I hope Smalling and Ferdinand play, because Suarez and Sturridge will rip them a new one.
I'm mental nervous for this. In my head I've seen the goals fly in and we give them a right old stuffing, however we'll probably play reasonably well and get **** all or a draw like when we visit arsenal.
I'm seriously considering going shopping whilst its on and coming back once its finished. Its only Tuesday ffs, I thought I was past all this.
Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde
Sterling should start,if anyone is getting dropped then it's likely to be Coutinho. I'd probably play Allen for his more defensive qualities and keep things tight, keep hold of the ball, then introduce Coutinho second half when they tire and gaps start to appear.
Allen starts for me, Sterling on the right because he will terrorise Evra and Suarez on the left against Rafael who has to be odds on to get booked and short odds to get sent off.
Coutinho if we need him when the game gets stretched, the only thing that has me worried is if they push Fellaini off RvP and launch long diagonal balls to him.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

I’d start Coutinho and Sterling. We are going to need goals to win this and those two are more likely to create and score than Allen.
More importantly, I can see Rooney dropping deep and sitting on Gerrard when we have possession, nullifying his creative influence (like Villa did). If that’s the case, I think we’ll need Coutinho to drop deep, receive the simple pass, carry the ball and pick out passes. Allen is capable of this too, but I’m relying on Coutinho to be on top form and having much more of an influence.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Is Rafael not injured?
I would say that Fellani tactic would probably work a treat for them, especially if he spins off to Flanagan, but Moyes would get crucified if he tried to pull it off and it failed, so I think Fellani will sit deep.

That's the issue for me,he isn't.If he was then I'd agree he'd have to start all day long. But I'd have no issues with the line up if he is in it ahead of Allen, hopefully he puts in an Arsenal type performance .

Seems to pick it up in the big games though. I'd start him.
