I reckon Sterling should start. His pace would be more damaging. Coutinho does not seem to be as effective away from Anfield. Played more centrally, at the top of the diamond, with Allen left and Hendo right.

I would probably stick with the same defence, as they have tightened up a lot. I am not exactly happy with any of our defenders in the air, but should Agger struggle against Carroll, I would consider going 3-5-2, and bringing on Sakho for Flanagan. I reckon Sterling can do a decent wing back job, as he works hard, and will track back.

I don't see the point in playing Allen for this one. They'll literally bypass midfield anyway so it makes more sense to have another attacking outlet.

it's defo a possibility however Brendan is very big on picking his best team and sticking with the form players, he's not much of a rotater is he

personally yes, i'd defo consider resting gerrard, however if we don't beat west ham well then it's a bit of **** thing to do and he'll get slaughtered for it.

i'd say start gerrard, allen and henderson - suarez/sterling/sturridge - with Allen and Henderson being told they've got to get stuck in/not allow gerrard to be isolated and forced to dive in.

get a couple goals and get gerrard off
