As far as I understand if Bilbao finishes 4th ahead of Sevilla then it's 99% Pot 2 for #LFC. If Arsenal don't make Top 4 then it's 100%.

I think that we are a team that most other sides won't want to face because our ranking will under-rate us, if we are in pot 3 that pretty much makes our group the clichéd "group of death".

Absolutely. We may struggle with European and domestic football at some point next season but from August to November we are going to be a fcking machine!! Sensible clubs in Europe know this already and will be praying they don't draw us.

He is wrong. Here is the rankings based on the latest update in April (11th). Given that the teams left in CL are all the top ranked nations itcan not make us worse off. Not sure on EL

No code has to be inserted here.There are 13 teams above us ensured automatic qualification to the group stages of the Champions League.

Unless Wolsfburg can finish 3rd (currently 5th and 5 points behind 3rd with 3 to play) then a 14th team - Schalke or Leverkussen - will be the 14th team above us to enter the group stages.

It is impossible for either one of Zenit or CSKA not to finish top 2 so unless Lokomotiv win the league there is team 15.

Even if they don't 5 higher ranked teams will be in the play off round against lower ranked opponents. For us to be pot 1 we need Arsenal not to qualify, Wolfsburg to finish 3rd, Lokomotiv to win the Russian League, Sjaktar to fail to win in Ukraine and several play offs to go our way.


We are not going in pot 2. We are going to be the most feared team in pot 3! We still have enough in us to qualify past those teams above us.
