Yeah that was odd. From admittedly hazy memory, it felt almost like there was just a tentative knock about during that period.

Still, that was a peculiar scenario. This is before the game, not during. They will remember, respect, then focus and give their all like every time the anniversary comes around. If anything it can only spur them on.

From a footballing perspective minute silences seem to take an edge of the start of a game, but given the added significance theres no telling how it will pan out.

Without sounding unappreciative of the Hillsborough occasion, which no Liverpool fan is, if the crowd are singing about Hillsborough, it could distract the players. I'd like to see the crowd get right behind the teams efforts in the game from the first whistle, intimidate their players, win it and then make their voices heard in support of the 96 lost, and the families. Otherwise the emotion could overcome our players.

This game, above all requires 100% concentration.

Think we'll need another big performance from the captain and Suarez too.
We'll need a big performance from Rodgers. If he can get the tactics right, I think the players can deliver.

I hope Toure is nowhere near the pitch though.

Complete and total silence followed by a roar delivered to push the team to their first title in 24 years? **** me that will sound special.

i think brendan & steve peters will have them mentally right. Clearly this is the cup final. win this and we can afford to drop points. lose it and we're hoping they do.

so it'll be a draw then for a bit more drama ;-)

I agree tbh, if it was a nothing game I wouldn't mind. Don't want to sound disrespectful.

Blimey, surprised that no one much has commented: seems like an incredible stat' to me.

I can't really believe this conversation is being had. There's **** all reason for this to negatively affect the team performance. Just don't see it at all.

Good point actually, in the away game Suarez played more withdrawn with Sterling on the shoulder of the last man. Would we play like that at home?
Sack swinging like Dub-D40 on a door hinge
