Whilst these things are true, we're in a different situation now. We just need to remain focussed. The pressure will intensify with each game now that our destiny is in our own hands. We can't afford to be too complacent against Norwich, if the players have your attitude then we've won the game already and that would be a risky approach to the game.Originally posted by RedReet View PostWe’ve been top going into matches and haven’t bottled it.
We’ve been chasing going into matches and haven’t bottled it.
We’ve played top teams and haven’t bottled it.
We’ve played bottom teams and haven’t bottled it.
We’ve played at home and haven’t bottled it.
We’ve played away and haven’t bottled it.
Our last 4 games against Norwich have been 5-1, 5-0, 5-2 and 3-0. Norwich has lost their last 3 matches and have a rookie manager. I don’t think we need too much psychology from Steve Peters to make the players confident for this one.
On paper, this should be the one match we're crying out for, we could hardly have hand picked better opposition for this match.

It’s not complacency at all. My point is I don’t expect to see us treat this game any differently to any of our recent games and if we go in with that approach then I’m confident we’ll win. IMO there is nothing this game will throw at us that we haven’t faced in recent weeks, therefore we must be confident.Originally posted by TheElephantMan View PostWhilst these things are true, we're in a different situation now. I’d be more worried if the players seen it your way, that we’re in a different situation now as nerves could kick in. Just treat it like the other games and there is no reason we won’t win.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Hopefully. Suarez will score 2 hat-tricks then.Originally posted by Nigey View PostThey've lacked a cutting edge all season, but they may have been a bit too defensive under Hughton. I wonder if Adams will make them more of an attacking side.

Which is basically what I said.Originally posted by RedReet View PostJust treat it like the other games and there is no reason we won’t win.
There is a different expectation now from the fans and from the players themselves. They just need to stay focussed and treat the game like any other. Whilst there wasn't any expectation of finishing top we wouldn't have even considered this scenario and therefore the additional pressure wasn't there.
So just treat it like the other games and there is no reason we won't win.

So why am I being complacant for using logic, ie. if we treat it like the other games we'll win?
Edit: You've just said that in your last line, **** me.

If you're going to pick an argument then it's probably best to do so with someone who has a different view from yourself?Originally posted by RedReet View Post:INSERTS.DOG.CHASING.TAIL.GIF:

Haha, I actually thought the original quote was from somebody else as was wondering why you were getting so heavily involved. What a waste of 30 mins.Originally posted by TheElephantMan View PostIf you're going to pick an argument then it's probably best to do so with someone who has a different view from yourself?

Personally I'd play Sterling up top instead of Moses and Coutinho just behind.Originally posted by Rich View PostControversial I know
He performs better at home
Moses performs better in his tracksuit.
Nah, I wouldn't have been opposed to Moses playing if he was also available for Chelsea. Because he's not, I think I'd even consider play Aspas instead of him.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

after a little thought i have taken the following into consideration
sturridge needs a rest - we don't know what his injury is or if he is even injured but he's looked a bit off the last couple of games and i also think the SAS hasn't been great the last couple of games, so take sturridge out and get him 100% for chelsea.
no henderson for three games is a blow and midfield is one area we do lack numbers - i had said previously to go with lucas/allen/gerrard however thinking ahead i think we'd need all three of them to start the week after against chelsea. So i'd keep one of them out.
for me it's-
-----------------mignolet----------------
johnson-----skrtel-------sakho------flanno
-------------------gerrard--------------------
--------------allen----------coutinho
sterling-------------suarez------------moses
try and get a rocket up moses's arse and get him motivated and fired up to give us 90 mins - that team should be more than enough quality to get the result
and it means we have potentially lucas/sturridge to come in for the chelsea game
Pkease please please let us ****ing win this game!
and to which ever god is out there listening, if you could find someway for us to win against norwich and city/chelsea to drop points against sunderland in their next games, that would be nice too
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do
