I have all sorts of paranoia and fears about this match. I'm totally bottling it ffs. I'm convinced that Mourinho will go for this in a way he hasn't gone for the last few games - try and blitz us with a goal or two in the first 15-20 mins and then shut up shop.

I don't believe he'll write this one off at all. I hate Chelsea and Mourinho far more than I hate Utd and that's been the case for me for years now.

I'm also convinced that Palace will beat one of ourselves or City, at least. There could be four points in those two fixtures for Palace. They're the last type of team I want to have to face at this stage. The fear of our whole season just ebbing away in 2 games is awful.

All this coupled with delight at being back in the CL - I've hated tuesdays and wednesdays of the group stages for years now when they were something to really look forward to in Rafa's time - and the staggering place we are at 5 points ahead with 3 games to go.

I admire your seething, borderline psychotic positivity but there's always the chance that Mourinho can manufacture a tactical outcome that benefits Chelsea. Or maybe he genuinely can't get that out of his players. I just find it hard to dismiss them despite their recent ****eness.

It's probably going to be our hardest game due to what Mourinho will produce on the day. But one thing he won't be able to do is make his team defend all game, unless we concede a stupid goal early on. From what we've seen against Sunderland, they haven't got that balance between attacking and defending right and still are prone to the odd individual mistake at the back. Our will to win should suffice to get us over this.

This. Sturridge being fit for the game is key. I think partly why we fannied with the ball at the back against Norwich was the lack of an outlet that Sturridge normally provides with his touch and pace further upfield.
