It was, even if it did appear to be looking for the issue rather than understanding the pressuring of Norwich's forward line, not to mention the role of the midfield in not retaining possession and leaving Suarez etc isolated.
It's only natural for teams to revert like that when in the lead and requires positive changes and attitude to reduce its effect.
Rather than highlighting the two CBs, the lads seemed to completely ignore Stevie's positioning (bar one throwaway comment by Carra) which in retrospect, done a lot to invite said pressure and didn't allow our defensive line to regain its normal line........the inability of the rest of the midfield to get around certainly forced an overly defensive posture by Gerrard IMO, which did appear to influence our already flaky defence.

Sakho can be a bit rash - probably down to the exuberance of youth, but because of that coupled with the fact Jose Pulis will be telling his players to dive all over the place I would bring Agger back into the side. His experience brings a calmness to our defence which is often missing when he's injured or benched.

Nah, it's just the way Skrtel likes to play (going backwards), before the usual suspect gets his knickers in a twist thats not a criticism but he prefers to go backwards (look at Hulls 3rd, backwards, backwards, backwards, it's what he's most comfortable with) whereas Sakho is the opposite he prefers to go forwards but cant do it now as it leaves a giant space and we get players run in behind. It is a concern, they are both very different, dont think either is the wrong way to do it but they arent a partnership yet.

To be fair he had 95% pass accuracy yesterday.

                He's just a bit cumbersome.

His passing is good, it's his control that sometimes lets him down.

He had two players on top of him yesterday and flanno passed the ball to him. That's the only time I can remember him flapping and it was understandable, he should never have got the ball. He could have hoofed it but it's not the Rodgers way.

We're doing unbelievably well for a team that has a **** keeper, liabilities at right back and centre back, another centre back who can't pass wind, a left back who has serious issues, wimpy midfielders who go missing in games etc etc.

Just imagine! Imagine if we had decent players! We'd win the world cup, Wimbledon and all Six of the Nations!
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

Shows how good our forward line is.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
