when messi was untouchable barca wouldnt have ever contemplated selling him to anyone. 86 goals in one calendar year is unreal. If he had gone then they could have got anything for him even £200m plus.
But now that messi isnt performing at his best, the stories coming out of nou camp are that barca would be willing to sell their no.1 player. But they wont be getting £150m for him.
If there's a right time to sell suarez its now. just got player of the year, is 27 and has scored 30 league goals for us. His stock wont be any higher than it is this season.
We could re- invest that money back into 3/4 positions that need strengthening to make us contenders for years to come. we all know that our squad isnt brilliant after the first 11 players.
I dont like the thought of losing our best player but sometimes it has a bigger impact on the team / squad as a whole. I know it didnt work for spurs but thats not to say its not something to be dismissed out of hand.
el mat, no matter how eloquently you argue the point, it isn't ever going to sound right. Suarez is absolutely central to the success Brendan has had with his tactics and formations. We're ahead of schedule and challenged this season, but that doesn't mean we should sell the best player and sabotage our chances of building something.
Nobody, apart from the players making up the numbers, should be sold this season. LFC needs to grow.

from a suits point it might make sense 27 peak age for sale value, best season ever and worth a fortune, get in 3/4 young £25m who will be worth more in the future. But **** that
