Its mostly to do with him not being a very good defender. He never closes players down. Everyone kept wanting him in the squad because he can do well at times when attacking, but our issue is defence. We have plenty of attacking up front.

I'm more worried about losing the newcastle game and coming third. But with Henderson back we should at least have someone who can close people down and get Lucas off. Thats been our biggest problem. I worried we'd have huge problems without him and unfortunately we did.

Still did better than any of us expected this season. I'm good since I never believed we'd have enough to push the whole way for that title. 11 games was more than I could of expected or asked. Top season

Is right. Deflating result but you are absolutely right.
Mind you; Villa or West Ham getting a draw was just about feasible...
        Really?

Does anybody think Brendan should sacrifice this swashbuckling approach for some organisation at the back? Highlight of the night was Luis' reaction at the end. Clearly ****ing devastated. Absolute legend.
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

Tonight makes you appreciate how balanced your life must be when you aren't a Football fan. None of the incredible highs and the absolutely sickening lows of these last two games that make you wish you'd never discovered this incredible game

Steve Peters might have to be getting some overtime in

That does change much. A draw is much more likely that either a draw or a loss....

                    No.

                    We'll get better at it.
                    Are we winning?

I still can't believe this just happened. ****s sake.

Gerrard slipping and ****in DAMIEN DELANEY deflection into the top corner, IT HAD TO HAPPEN THIS WAY JUST SO IT FEELS EVEN WORSE. I'm not leaving my house for the next month.

I know the defence cost us that win, but the moment I can't get out of my head was the chance when Coutinho shot instead of sliding it to Suarez to make it 4-1.

                            Seriously. A perfectly realistic assumption.

But be careful, someone might think you're being ridiculous.

Oh wait... that only happens to me!

But I do think we need to rethink our approach over the summer, we're far too gung-ho, need to tone it down a bit.
I was saying this previously (and not just after the Chelsea game). While our footballing style is admirable it gives the possibility of things like this happening. I think it is somewhat naïve to think we can just outscore everyone, while Rodgers isn't going to go all Mourinho in his approach I think next season we will have to sacrifice some of the attacking flair for a stronger defensive base. We have conceded 49 goals this season in 37 league games I can't see that being allowed to continue.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
