BR, FSG and many of our players (including Suarez) are in virgin territory next season. We've had more time than most of the top teams on the training ground this year - next year there's going to be a lot more time travelling, a lot more games. New signings (hopefully) to break in - even if they're all 'good' signings.

I just want to hear how people who can talk better footy than me see it panning out. It's a heady mix and I'm excited, fearful but intrigued.

We're coming to the end of an amazing season, we've played amazing football, will probably score 100+ goals and we're going to finish in the top 2 - who wouldn't have taken that in August?

Yes, we're disappointed, but even if we don't win the league, it's been a season to remember.

In my opinion we need 4 players, I'm hearing we have £60m to spend, so I would do the following:-

1. £20m on a CB - the number 1 choice would be Mats Hummels, but there are half a dozen others out there.

2. £20m in a left back or try and get Ashley Cole on a free.

3. £20m on a central midfielder - someone who can give us something a bit different and can play alongside Henderson and Gerrard - my 1st choice would be Ivan Rakitic.

4. I'd sell Aspas & Borini - I think we can get £15m for the pair and I'd sign another striker


We also need to decide what to do about Reina, if he takes a pay cut and Rodgers likes him I'd put him back in the 1st team squad...

As I've said here before, I can't really talk footy. However there are some serious issues that have to be addressed quickly.

FSG barely understand footy. They may have got to grips with PL - and we've been outstanding this year, make no mistake. CL is completely different. CL and PL combined is another leap ahead.

We have a ludicrously (untenable) 'thin' squad. We need a load more more quality players.

BR is new to the CL

Most of our players are new to the CL

Unless there's some serious cash to spend we're not going that far in the league or the CL.

FSG need to understand that they need to spend. BR needs to make his point to them.

Then BR has to make a plan with new players that will keep us in the PL title race and make us successful in the CL.

Big, nay, huuuge asks. I'd hate to be in BR's shoes right now.

Attacking, attractive play is great. But take the fekkin points every time.

Discuss ... because I'm now lost.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion about what should happen next season. I think with a few quality additions we will be ready for the league and champions league again.

Juventus, Napoli aside how many other European teams could handle our attack. Continentals can't handle the intensity we play at, our speed and our movement. If we can find the right balance in midfield / defence we will surprise a few people.

4 quality signings and we'll be fine, no need to panic.

Henry needs to get his wallet out and Rodgers/Committee need to spend the money a lot better than they did last summer. If that happens we'll be fine. I expect those two things to happen too because we've got CL money to spend and European football to offer players. It should be easier for all concerned.

CL doesn't worry me, I've not seen a lot in that competition this year that makes me nervous.

We definitely need another striker of Sturridge's quality. Look at Dzeko at Man City. Aguero is injured and Negredo is bang off form so up steps Dzeko to bang them in. He's on 24 goals in all competitions this season.

I don't know who that player might be but obviously they need to be mobile, fast and be a decent goal scorer plus young so they can accept a bit part role and not get the hump. Someone like Jurgen Locadia or Viktor Fischer perhaps?

Good luck getting a player of that quality to sit on the bench for much of the season.

We need a squad player. We need someone who's decent no doubt, but a bit ambitious to aim for another Sturridge.
