The only time I'd give 10 out of 10 would be if we won the Premier League, F.A. Cup and Champions League treble playing superb football all the way.

The closest we got to that was the first season I properly supported the Reds in 1976/77.

Most of the seasons Bob was manager would be 9.5 to 9.8 though which isn't too shabby

The good thing about this season though is that it really does feel like the start of something. We seem to have good owners who have a plan and Brendan has been a revelation.

Next season is so important. It will tell us whether we're entering into another golden age or whether it's going to be yet another false dawn

Some rip-roaring football from us for large portions of the season, and the winning streak really hammered home how much confidence can breath life into a lot of our players.
Suarez, despite looking leggy in the last few games, put in a superhuman performance this season, plus if someone told me Sturridge would get 21 goals this season, I would have snapped their hand off.
Emergence of Sterling as a real threat, Gerrard looking at home in the new position, Henderson's growth etc etc..
Others have mentioned the highlights, so I'll not repeat them.

Loads of positives, and I'm very upbeat for the future under Rodgers. So why only an 8/10 ?

Ultimately, we let the league slip, and while it's pointed to make comparisons between the strength of our squad in comparison to others, and our lack of options on the bench, we let the league slip through our fingers as far as I'm concerned when we were absolutely flying high, and our lapse was taken advantage of. Stupid mistakes, some of which may never happen again.
Might seem harsh given the points we picked up over our winning streak, but it's a devastating disappointment regardless of where we placed ourselves at the start of the season.
No silverware.........cup runs were a complete non-event. Not a massive loss all in all, but it'd be nice to put winning experience in some our young lads.
Lack of impact from signings........always a bone of contention, but apart from Mig, the lads brought in have done nothing of note and will more than likely be bounced out at first opportunity. Couple lads out on loan may have a future down the line, but it's too soon to tell.
That leak we have at the back....

Might seem a negative post, but it's really not, finishing where we did was a brilliant achievement, and the return of CL football is what this club deserves. Make the right signings this summer and there's no reason to believe we cannot sustain a similar challenge, both at home and Europe with the added experience of actually being title-contenders.
        This.

Can't rank it as a 10/10 cos that means perfect to me and it wasn't. Still bloody good but we let a 5 point lead disappear over two weeks right when it mattered, gutted and I won't get over it until we win it most probably.

Easiest ten out of ten i will ever have to give.

The score is based on my own expectations at the start of the season. I hoped for fourth and had we achieved that I'd have given us a 8. Yes there was no real good cup run thrown in, but such was the increased performance levels in the league, it still gets a 10.

To beat Man Utd twice, to smash Everton, Arsenal and Spurs at Anfield, the best of the rest if you like, plus fantastic away performances against So'ton and Spurs was a dream. Throw in the entertaining manner of wins such as the 6-3 over Cardiff & a 4-3 over Swansea - Just WOW!!!!

We were gung-ho and we were crazy, porous at the back but a dream on the attack. I doubt we'll ever see the likes go it again. Over 150 goals in 38 matches is just pure entertainment. The end of the season is here and it's sad to see that it's over.
          Forwards.......
