    Pre Season Thread

Has anyone got the full pre season tour schedule please.

Disappointed the lads aren't coming to Oz this year but hopefully they'll be back in the near future.

So we are going to the US again yeah? Where else ?
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

As the WC final is on Sunday 13th July 2014, I can't see any of the WC performers playing in those - shame for the US fans...
What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

The England players will have finished there WC commitments long before that I think.

Suarez might still be involved if anyone.

I bit the bullet and spent outrageous sums to take my sons to the City match at Yankee Stadium. Over $150 per ticket to watch our non-World Cup players and youth vs City non-World Cup and youth. Pretty insane prices for what will undoubtedly be a garbage game. That said, I want us to send a message against the champions, so maybe?

I know what you mean. It's not about the quality of the football as much as it is to say thanks to the Club & to the players for their efforts & to show them how much we appreciate them. Hopefully the memory will spur them on to dig deep at some point in the season when need be.

The memory for you & your kids is invaluable. It's your responsibility too mate.

Liverpool will kick off their pre-season preparations for the 2014-15 campaign with a friendly match against League One outfit Preston North End on Saturday, July 19.

The fixture, which will get underway at 3pm BST at Deepdale, once again brings together two sides who hold a shared bond - the legendary former Reds manager Bill Shankly.

During 15 years at the Anfield helm, the man from Glenbuck utilised his inspirational leadership to forge a successful and long-lasting dynasty at the club.

Shankly is revered at Preston too; before his relationship with the Reds began in 1959, the Scot had dedicated 16 years of his playing career to the Lancashire team.

Information regarding tickets for the friendly will be released during the coming days; supporters should check the official website and tour site for further details.

Liverpool journeyed to Deepdale at the outset of their last pre-season, running out 4-0 winners before departing for a tour of Indonesia, Australia and Thailand.

Brendan Rodgers and his players will follow a similar schedule this year, heading for four friendly encounters in North America shortly after taking on Simon Grayson's charges.

Their trip begins with a return to the iconic Fenway Park and a clash with Roma on July 23, while Olympiacos will be the opponents at Soldier Field in Chicago four days later.

The Reds meet Barclays Premier League rivals Manchester City in New York on July 30 and, 72 hours on, continue their programme with a mouth-watering tie against AC Milan in Charlotte.

Ticket details for each of the fixtures to be played in the United States can be accessed by clicking here.

$500+ for a garbage game in a stadium I loathe, but ok. *ha*

All that aside though, your kids will love it. And hopefully become Reds for life.

The oldest is already saying he supports Chavs and Citeh just to push my buttons and make me argue with him and give him attention. But he's a Red for sure. His friends at kindergarten are Chelsea supporters for some reason? I am working on them. #Idiots
