Fair enough mate, it's just i've noticed more rumours/strories regarding Liverpool players this season than any season before.

      no drama mate

i think we are all a bit more sensitive to these things after 2 seasons of gerrard leaving and we are analysing everything trying to explain our bad form.

if we score first in 3 out of those 5 away games (and we could and should have easily) we win, confidence is high and these stories don't appear. as it is, we just have to deal with it.

from my company's POV liverpool make great copy- if we win trophies and so on we can satisy our legions of fans in this part of the world, giving our pundits the chance to wax lyrical about one of the worlds great clubs.

if we lose they know that any criticism will get the forums buzzing, our feedback avenues go into meltdown and people talk about our channel.

one of the drawbacks of being popular. the reaction to crisitcism of chelsea is neglible by comparison.

because we were starting to become a threat and people want us to fail, it's not a coincidence.

I don't like our style of play. I don't like Rafa's tactics. I'm definitely not calling for his head - yet - but he needs to reassess his own performance before he starts on the players. The current team can play far better and more cohesive. I think Rafa is so intellectual and up his own arse with tactics that the players haven't got a clue what he's on about.

this is pretty much exactly how I feel. good post mate.

Our history is unmatched, we have a manager that won us the Champions league in his first season and FA cup the next season. This season he was able to get the players he wanted. So far we are in 9th playing like ****e and our captain, who could walk onto any team in the world, looks disinterested. The signings off Pennant and Gonzalez are looking terrible.

Dude, as far as the press are concerned we are fair game.

Feel a bit sorry for SG really as there are players making stupid mistakes all the time and as captain he should bollock them IMO.
It's not like he can whisk them off to his office and sit them down for 10 minutes is it?
People say as the captain he should be lifting them all the time, I think his patience is wearing thin. Listen to yourselves on hear and note that your'e the same.
The only difference Carra would make as captain would be that if he reached the levels of frustration the SG is at now he'd probably do job them on the stop.

What and Gerrard isn't making stupid mistakes as well?

nah mate, think you're overestimating the captains job.

He certainly shouldn't be going round bollocking players for anything, unless maybe there's discent in the ranks or one of the players says something out of order that Rafa didn't know about.

It's his job to lead by example and get Rafa's ideas across to the team on the pitch, and it doesn't appear he's doing that at the moment cos he;s got his head up his arse.
