We want/need Moreno/Lallana/Can/Lambert/Lovren - regardless of Luis Suarez!

Are you suggesting that if he stayed - and we signed those five players that it would be too much change and we'd struggle???

The only 'change' would be - we lose a world class player, top 3 in the world and replace him with a very good player (sanchez or whoeever) but have a stronger squad
I haven't fully committed to this thread, PeeTeePee - I'll be honest.

I was hoping for more bites.

We'd need our own war-cheast to fund Lallana, Can, Lambert and Lovren.

Sure, it will be funded by sales but that's nearly half a new starting eleven right there.

      Too much change?
not even in Football Manager would that be possible

        Sanchez (free via Suarez)
        £20m Markovic
        £16m Moreno
        £6m Origi

        Change for half a Can.

          Im guessing more like
          £30m Markovic
          £20m Moreno
          £10m Origi

I thought Markovic had a release clause of £20m?

Didn't Spurs increase their points tally though? At least when AVB was appointed I think they had a couple of more points than the season before. So I'd take a spending spree for a couple of extra points tbh
                  * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Deary me Mudds, I expect better effort from you

You've come up with 2 vague similarities, neither of which are even established yet, that's hardly enough. Differences? Our previous year standings are different (we're in the CL), our transfer structure is different, the makeup and balance of our squad is different, we have an established manager when they had one coming in blind, the role and type of players and balance of signings will be different, our finances are different, basically everything is different other than both possibly selling one player for lots of money and making a few signings... you could easily make just as solid a case as you have above for comparing us to either ManU after they sold Ronaldo or Newcastle after selling Andy Carroll.

Too be fair AVB had the job for the year previous.

Did he? **** that just shows how dull and pointless Spurs are that I completely forgot. Regardless this is Rodgers' 3rd summer at the club so its still a difference and the thread remains a **** one

Yeah, I'll hold my hands up to that.

I'l go back to the drawing board in my hunt for a reaction similar to the 'Gerrard Retiring' thread.

I don't understand why we forecast negativity re the team. I will miss Suarez's goals but am 100% confident that him going can only be a benefit long - term. Let's go again shall we?

I was looking for two very similar images for differences.

Thought this was a thread to allow us all a little light relief from the whole Suarez / Sanchez / Lovren / Shaqiri snowball, and offer the chance of an observational quiz too...

                                Shame
