Kevin Stuart runs on to a loose ball crossing the 18 yard line, shapes right and then cuts it back onto his left to take out the defenders then shoots across the keeper into the top corner. Far too easy, although he wouldn't say so. West Hame, to be fair to them, look ****e. Liverpool 1-0 West Ham. It's the 4th minute.

Wilson charges down the left at speed, takes it into the box and cuts it across. The ball diverts out and Ryan McLaughlin saunters up to it and slots it between the defenders.

A save from the West Ham keeper. It's raining goals and West Ham have left their umbrellas at home. They're going to be soaked. Etc.

Canos nearly scores as I get meteorological.

Chirivella with a sumptuous cross-field pass to Wilson, by himself at the edge of box but rather than shoot he passes with his awkward foot and doesn't connect. His pace nearly gets him to the ball before the keeper just afterwards but he's a fraction too late.

Brannagan latches on to a through-ball and threads it just too far ahead of Wilson who can't get to it before the keeper. Very close to a third there.

First shot on target from West Ham, from miles outside the box. Vigeroux gathers it contemptuously.

Jorden Williams is a colossus in our defence. Even the burliest of strikers seem to bounce straight off him. Good in the air and calm in possession.

Canos gets a shot on target from just outside the box rather than passing to Wilson. Corner from the resulting block. Headed straight out for a goal kick.

Ooh, Wilson takes a long looping pass down with his right foot outside the box but it's whipped away for a corner before he can hit it with his left. Nice touch though to take that between two defenders. Another **** corner.
