Going to love watching this kid rise through the ranks. He certainly looks a huge talent & I thought we were going to lose him for certain.Originally posted by rudedog View PostMe, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

very happy for the lad.Liverpool's Morrison thrilled by senior NI debut

Liverpool's Kieran Morrison made his senior Northern Ireland international debut in the international friendly against Guinea in Spain.
"At the start of the season I wouldn't have expected to hear that," he said on what it felt like to be called a Northern Ireland international.
"I'm very proud and my family is very proud too. I'm buzzing."

Yeah that’s one of the main reasons I wanted Slot gone tbh. We all go so excited at the players we were buying for the Academy & that muppet wouldn’t give them a start. I hope Andoni likes what he sees & gives youth a go.Originally posted by peterbread View PostThere is a big opportunity for the young players in preseason with the World Cup. Iraola made a point of bringing it up in his interview. I’m hoping one of the things they talked about with him is his willingness to give these players more of a chance.Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

And when you look at the level we are now going for. Those two young CB’s, the Colombian kid and the 16 German midfielder everyone wants and sounds positive you can understand why they want someone who will take advantage of it. Plus they’ve spent a lot of money upgrading the facilities and putting everything in one place so the connection between the first team and academy is closer.
I’m hoping we see much more of Nyoni now. In the small amount of time he got he never looked out of place. If they can get Danns fit, big if I know, he could be big while Ekitike is out.

I really liked that Klopp was bringing kids through and giving them chances, that seems to have largely stalled under Slot, hopefully that will change again
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Danns is probably one of the players I feel most sorry for injury wise, if he had been fit last season then he could have had alot of opportunities, preseason will be a chance to prove himself and potentially this season tooOriginally posted by peterbread View PostAnd when you look at the level we are now going for. ???? Edit looks like the thumbs up didn’t work. I still have hopes he can be a part of the team even with the football he’s missed.Originally posted by Exiled_red View Post

"A number of players from the Academy set-up will also leave the club upon the expiry of their contracts.
"Kareem Ahmed, Emmanuel Airoboma, James Balagizi, DJ Bernard, Oakley Cannonier, Josh Davidson, Terence Miles and Jacob Poytress will be embarking on new chapters in their careers.
"Everybody at the club would like to thank the players for all their contributions and wish each of them the best for the future.
"Meanwhile, contract offers have been made to Prince Cisse, Keyrol Figueroa, Kyle Kelly, Afolami Onanuga, Oliver O’Connor, Lucas Pitt, Ben Trueman and Matthew Wright."
