Give the guy a break, he's just turned 21, he's in a new league, has barely played back to back games and most of his appearences have been out of his favoured position. I know we paid a fairly large transfer fee but that isn't his fault. Lets give him a little more time to find out what he is capable of.

Yeah, he's done amazingly well given he has to be the least suited wingback in the history of football. I genuinely feel sorry for Lazar and Can, and hope they somehow get to play in positions they are used to.

I think there are legitimate questions over Markovic, not just because of how he performed when played out of position but more generally - obviously it only makes sense to give him another season or two but I have to say I'm not convinced he'll ever show us £20m worth of play (and I hope I'm wrong),

I think there is a player in Markovic, he just needs some confidence and that will only come in games where he gets to play as an attacking midfielder. He's been shunted about all over the shop this year, inexplicably the position he's played the most has been wing back. He's constantly getting hooked early, and being left out for stretches. It must be really difficult for a young kid who's still developing to adapt to a new country, culture and football league in those circumstances.

Having said that, he didn't look very good in those youtube vids when we were linked with him I like him though, he's got good technique and he's quick and if he can develop his skills he could be brilliant. He's very raw, but we're not giving him the right environment to shine.

Markovic should be kept and given another season. When I think About the turnover rate of players, the one season lfc players of recent times I shudder but I think Markovic has something to offer at RW or CAM, particularly as cover for coutinho.

Definitely need a change of formation imo.

Markovic is obviously a quality player ... I thought we were taking the long approach with him and bedding him in, he has obvious quality and is rated just about as high as you can be rated across europe.

There are only so many positions in the team and its about managing the squad and player game time. Next season he need to get a run in the team in his preferred position which is RAM
