He was on the Golden Boy list a couple of years ago and was a starter for Benfica when they reached the Europa Final and that was when he was what 20? I think he was badly mismanaged by Rodgers, like many of our players. I am sure he'll surprise a few when he returns.

Based on what? Not having a go, just curious?Originally posted by Pablo View PostI don't think he has the mentality to make it personally. Looks too mentally weak. Hope to be proved wrong but I seriously doubt he'll be here after the Summer window closes.
I’d have thought having the balls to move from a club in your own country at such a young age would take a strong mentality. To overcome initial problems and have a great season, again would indicate this. Likewise, rather than stay in your comfort zone, to take the challenge at a bigger club again just a season later shows a winning mentality. Obviously it hasn’t worked out for him, but even taking the move to Turkey was a brave one as I’m sure there were other offers that might have been a bit easier for him.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Klopp's said he will have pre-season to show what he can do, as we don't have too many wingers.
He could've done with another season at Benfica for his development, but now, he'll have a great chance to impress for an area of the pitch in which we are lacking in natural width.We had a little talk about things. I said at the start of pre-season you will be very welcome and then it’s up to you.
“That is how it is in football. It’s a long pre-season and if he wants to come back to Liverpool in July he’s welcome.
“We are short on wingers. Everybody who is involved in pre-season can have a part to play next season. We need a big squad because of the European Championships.
“Pre-season is a long time to show what you have and then after this we’ll make decisions

He was guilty of flinching when some turkish player was having a go at him rather than puffing out his chest and doing the footballer eye ball stare down only to be followed by drop to the floor and roll around clutching ones face when said puffy chest moves too closeOriginally posted by RedReet View PostBased on what? Inundated with speedy wingers, inundatedOriginally posted by Kenneth View PostHe's quick, he is reasonable on the ball but I'm not sure that he can stop being a massive fanny. He looks scared of his own shadow at times. Either way I don't see enough for him to get a regular slot ahead of the plethora of other similar to players we already have.I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

Fenerbahce play a 4-2-3-1 and he's been playing on the right of the three when he's played. So basically in Lallana position. In fact we could as easily play any of our attacking MFs there, ie we don't play with a proper winger and he doesn't play there either.Originally posted by Fierce View PostInundated with speedy wingers, inundatedTrey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Totally agree. Of our formally motley crew of misfits the only ones Klopp hasn't got significant improvement from are Ibe, Benteke and Marty ****house. In Marty's case it'll probably be beyond him. If Klopp can get Lovren playing like the best centre back in the league he can surely get Markovic and all his potential firingOriginally posted by Saveloy View PostI still have hope for Markovic and i'd like to think Kopp can get the Benfica player out of him (to be clear, I am not claiming to have watched Benfica matches
)
Is he genuinely quick though? I don't remember him being rapid.A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
