Still no clean sheets though The defense has improved but we still switch off at the back far too regularly.

Goalkeeper aside, he's currently the weakest link in the starting 11 IMO. Not that's he's stinking the place out like he did 2 seasons ago but he's not at the level of Matip.

He's had a rough start though, in and out due to injuries, in fact Matip has been playing with different partners and different keepers on almost every occasion, can't be easy.

Agreed, Matip has already played alongside Lovren, Lucas and Klavan I doubt with any of them for two successive games, and in front of both Mignolette and Loris in his 6 game old Liverpool career. He needs to settle into a partnership. The fact that he looks awesome despite this is massively encouraging.

I wasn't slagging Lovren - I'm down on injuries and inconsistencies. Lovren and Matip are the first choice CBs. Lovren just needs to get into an injury free run. If we can get the keeper and 2 CBs sorted and have them play a load of games together then we are in great shape.
