Totally agree with this mate , lack of understanding of the situation

He gave the referee a decision to make , where if he had jockeyed the player nothing could of come of it.

What is so utterly grating is the player had little support and was running away from goal. I'm not even sure i would have gotten touch tight.

I know there's been some posts about VVD and Kompany also making mistakes yesterday (although i didn't see them), the difference with them is they exude a certain calmness because they know what they are doing. Lovren is an utter panic merchant. I was glad that happened near the end of the game as we all know a mistake usually means Lovren's head goes making the problem altogether worse.

Clearly, we need 2 centre-backs, although i'd settle for one and hope Matip becomes solid and Gomez has some experience now and cuts out some naivety in his game. We may get by on them.

The question you need to ask yourself with a liability like Lovren is simple. Would he get into any of our rivals teams? I am pretty sure that he wouldn't.

Same with Moreno...........and Mignolet. But their day to **** us over wasn't yesterday!!

It wasn't a penalty, Lovren is taking a load of **** because of his past mistakes.

Regardless of if it's a pen or not it doesn't matter. The player was slowing down and moving away from goal. There was no direct threat. He runs right to him and puts his hands on him. He gives the player every opportunity to go down and it looks bad to the ref. I personally think it shouldn't have been given but Lovren shouldn't have given the opportunity for a penalty to be given in that situation. Very naive and it occurs far too regularly. I blame Lovren 100% - I can't wait for the day he leaves.

If lovren wasn't wearing a short shirt and was sober then he wouldn't have been goosed by the referee. Sounds a bit like victim blaming.

Said the same in real time and without benefit of immediate replays I thought it was a penalty all be it a soft one. Now that judgement could have been clouded by the fact it was Lovren involved

To me he had no need to make that challenge and gave the referee a decision to make

Looking back after replays its one of them isnt it? Its soft, if it was in our favour we would have been hollering for a penalty, against you, you feel hard done by

He didn't make a challenge, Calvert Lewin ran or jumped into him.

Regardless of whether it should have been given as a pen or not (it should not) Lovren is so far from being good enough it’s unreal. We need to move on from having the likes of him and Mignolet in our team ASAP and until we do, we shall never be real contenders for any meaningful silverware.

My main problem with Lovren is that so many of his mistakes come from making challenges that he doesn't need to make or naively not understanding the situation. Top players don't make those kinds of mistakes, they know when to make challenges and when not to. Pundits tend to call it experience but Lovren is experienced enough to know, he has made these types of mistakes plenty times before. I really hope that we are coaching this into pur players rather than just taking the easy route of blaming the ref, otherwisEdinburgh we will never learn
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

He's clearly thrown himself to the ground. It's supposed to be a contact sport ffs.

It was a penalty, he pushed him. He's making mistakes because he's a thick cunt who yet again has cost us important points by being a total brainless ****ing clown.

Thats the first time I've seen it since the game.

That's a shocking decision. Clear dive, at the time I thought he'd won it well, but that is too forgiving. He has cheated. The raised hands is a total non issue.

Thats two absolutely shocking pens we've had given against us in two weeks.
