That whole press cuttings on the wall chat is totally cliched. But even if it happens, how does that make any material difference in performance? If motivation were that easy..? And even still, we should still be good enough to win, we should be more motivated.
All that happened here is Lovren was asked if he thought we could go the season without losing and he answered that he did.
Lacking the diplomacy to dodge having to answer, what is he supposed to say? “No, I think we will lose at some point”. I think we forget that these guys are answering questions in a second language with a press corp desperate to manufacture an angle.
But in reality the only place this kind of stuff matters is on forums.
The easy answer would've been 'we take each game as it cines'
Some may say defending Moreno and Mignolet for years is stupid. But i'd never say that about you Ken
Defending our own players from dogs abuse by our own fans. Sorry, really stupid of me.. go ahead. And totally comparable to blaming a CB playing RB for a goalkeeping howler.

I'm not sure how to feel about his latest comments.
It's clearly been drilled into them by management to take it a game at a time, to only think about the next game, respect the opponents, not too over-enthuse etc... and he's broken that protocol. To what extent he was pushed by the interviewer, it's hard to say. I've seen him in other interviews this season as he's been very level-headed, even showing some leadership qualities, so this was a surprise.
However, I also think it's a bit fanciful to think that his comments have a direct effect on his performance. I guess we'll see tomorrow
