Wasn't it Gomez and Gini tacking each other that set up their break? We lost control of the midfield before he came on. Now he was jumping in like a muppet, but as with all the later subs, his restart after months waiting was at the thick end of a competitive match. Stupid cunt is way ott. We saw a Sheffield utd CB kill their game at Newcastle and Luiz put on a genuinely calamitous performance for arsenal, Lovren committed himself too easily and we didn't concede a goal.

One good thing about this enforced break has been to put football in perspective, I'm certainly not in the mood to get riled about every decision and feel actual anger about anything football related. Everything is a little more zen in my mind. I'm actually surprised to see some have jumped straight back into it, especially so soon.

We have more than double Arsenal’s points and almost double sheff United’s points, so I don’t think we should be using them as a benchmark... I think Lovren is good enough to start in either of those teams, sure, but not good enough to be in our squad, and certainly not one of the highest earners in the squad..

We can’t have ambitions of winning premier leagues and champions leagues, and at the same time justify a players spot in the team because he’s not as bad as the weak link in 10th place arsenal! [emoji23][emoji23]

I am not a fan of his but personal slurs are not warranted. He has never been good enough for us but that’s not his ‘fault’. Let’s see out the season and he will move on which is best for all sides.

I'd had a load of ale.

Gini lost the ball to start with, yes.

Lovren though is too erratic, too excitable and too unreliable.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

                He is, yes.

He needs a run of games to get any sort of form at all, and never looks reliable coming in at short notice.

The whole team had lost shape once bobby went off and it coincided with Lovren common on so it wasn’t ideal. We seem to need 4 cbs with 3 seemingly quite injury prone (unbelievably injury prone in Joel’s case) and Virgil indestructible.

I thought it was interesting what Carragher said about him that he is really too emotional and that he feels that he has to win battles with forwards. And it is in trying to do so that he dives in and makes mistakes. While it is probably nothing new to most I found it interesting that Carragher said it as someone who was quite a passionate emotional player himself playing in the same position.

When Matip went down I was wondering if TAA or Willams could have played at LB for the last 10 mins and Gomez moved into CB rather than bringing Lovren on
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Lovrens problem is that he always has to engage. It's like it's built into him to always go in for the physical battle. He always commits himself into the tackle whereas most top defenders play the percentages. When he wins the ball you think good tackle but when he loses it or loses the duel you think wtf did you do that for.

Compared to the best his decision-making is poor.

He's not changed and he'll never change.

Plus he always needs several games to click into gear.

                          And yep

Factor in his wages relative to his game time and it will be best for everyone if he has a new challenge next season. More games fir him and his rhythm and the chance for us to blood a youngster - maybe Hoever or Sepp

Should have been ****ed off years ago. He's far too excitable. He probably causes panic in his own kitchen. Goodbye Lovren.

                                Deserved.

                                He was solid pre Christmas.

Started in the home win v Leicester.
Started in the home win v Spurs.
Started in the away win v Villa.
Started the home win v City.
Started in the away win v Palace.
Started in the home win v Brighton.
Started in the away win v Bournemouth.

Started and scored v Napoli at home.
Started in away win v Red Bull Salzburg.

These were some clutch games in our season, City and Leicester were massive at the time, nothing was certain. He played really well and more than deserves his medal.

He obviously also played v Watford 0-3, but he wasnt the only poor performer that day.

He's forth choice and is never an option off the bench as he takes a while to acclimatise. But he is the go to whipping boy for most.
