he has some good attributes, but he just seems a bit brain dead - I think a good break from the starting XI would do him the world of good and I'd also agree, that he suffers from our whole defence/keeper being **** and having no one with pace in midfield to cover him when he bombs forward.

I think he'd be good enough and would improve, in a side with a better keeper, centre halves and a centre mid who is quick and can tackle.

at times Moreno has been our only outlet due to his pace, and as such his poor decision making looks even worse because he's the only player we have had getting in to positions in attacking areas.

But yeah I agree, smith looks more composed on the ball - I'd be happy to give him a run and drop Moreno to go and sort his head out

If we're going to play with attacking full backs, we need cover for them in the centre of the park

I also think that his crossing/distribution might be better if we had a better target up top. He's able to whip a ball in at speed, but pointless when the very definition of a centre forward is stood scratching his balls on the edge of the box

I like Smith too though, and think he should be given a chance to push Moreno for the number one slot also

I also think a lot of people are very blind to how bad defensively we were when Flannagan was playing LB and how he often ducked crosses leading to us conceding (the Cardiff and Palace games from 13/14 for example).
