Is there a better LB option that would be willing to come here and play as little as he does? He was perfectly fine yesterday and now he won't play for another two months, and that's that. Also seems like he's a great factor in squad morale. Just keep him far away from any cup finals.

See now that just makes me warm more to the idea of swapping him for the Some Mother's Do 'ave 'em tape cause it could probably fulfil the same purpose. Couldn't defend any worse than Albert anyway.

Mane has already said that he, Mane, lost concentration and should've been helping Moreno out, but let's not let that stand in the way of giving him a good kicking.Originally posted by Maxiedge View PostEh? The goal was completely Moreno’s fault. Rushes in and gets done far too easily. Puts his hands up and lets the player through without challenging.
Other than that, he seemed to play very well.
Lots of goals come about because one team momentarily overloads a part of the pitch whilst the other team has lost concentration. It is NOT always the fault of the player that has been isolated.

That did happen, but if he'd conceded a freekick, as many defenders would have, it would have been a worse option percentages wise. Probably wouldn't have been labelled as completely his fault if we had conceded from it too.Originally posted by Maxiedge View PostEh? The goal was completely Moreno’s fault. It wasn't a dangerous situation, we had plenty of defenders in position, it was just a fluke.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Very nice of Mane to say so but Moreno is left back and he is responsible for holding the defensive line with the other 2 CBs and RB.Originally posted by Paul12 View PostMane has already said that he, Mane, lost concentration and should've been helping Moreno out, but let's not let that stand in the way of giving him a good kicking.

I’m not a Moreno fan Dan but if Robbo had been playing and a similar goal happened I don’t think anyone would have even noticed/said anything. I actually thought he did well yesterday and some of the ‘blame’ being leveled at him for the goal is just bias (not aiming this at you btwOriginally posted by danperkins View PostYup, doesn't get tight to his man and then does a stupid little jump in air. Nothing new.

I watched the whole game on sky Replay. Kept rewinding the goal. There is zero chance Robbo does what Moreno did. Robbo is just a proper defender and sniffs out danger. Had Moreno not rushed in (why do we always ask that about Moreno? Why oh why?) then he stops the cross going in. No flukey deflection, no goal.Originally posted by Irishnev View PostI’m not a Moreno fan Dan but if Robbo had been playing and a similar goal happened I don’t think anyone would have even noticed/said anything. Moreno had a good game otherwise. Great cross for Lallana and offered himself well on Mane's side thus freeing up Sadio to do his magic. Would I like to see him on the pitch for us again. No thanks. One tit for another.
