Yeah cause Johnson is sooooooo friggin awesome isn't he I see the thinking behind it but there's no way I'd drop the youngster for the inconsistent Glo Jo.

I don't think Manquillo had the greatest of games (against Southampton). Two raw full-backs is a bit of a gamble away to Manchester City. Saying that, Johnson's lethargic and half-arsed attempts at the moment are not much better. It's a tough call to make.

hopefully it'll be the new lads. keen to impress and full of running.

this might convince glen to get his bags packed and go and visit uncle harry at qpr.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Yeah one is young & giving his best & then there's Glo Jo. He needs a mighty kick up the arse.

Dangerous game to go with 3 new players in the back 4 against City.

I'd be very suprised if Manquillo and Moreno both started.

No it's not and doesn't have to be. Johnson is the most experienced fullback and we're playing City away, so it makes sense like.

Experience doesn't count for much if you stink. And Glen stunk v. Southampton.

Maybe but we still won the game.

Ok. That's a good enough reason. Just play the same X1 till we loose then.

So either we play an young, very inexperienced RB or an experienced RB who has been poor for the best part of 2 seasons?

Their left side is their weaker one, Clichy or Kolorov. I'm hoping they play Clichy as he's poor & Kolorov is much more attacking & has a great delivery. That's the worry about Johnson, he doesn't engage opposition & allows so many crosses into the box. With Kolorov's delivery, that would be bad news. In saying that both Clichy & Kolorov aren't great defenders.

I thought Manquillo did ok in the second half vs Southampton but Tadic gave him the run around in the first half. Thought the level of his performance was bit exaggerated on here.. although the last 15 mins Manquillo was very good but City are a different calibre & it's away from home too.

Anyways, no ****ing idea who should play RB. Bit of a problem we have in that area

Brendan obviously sees something in Johnson, and he knows a lot more about football than me. Still, I can't say I understand what he's supposed to bring to the team. Every game he plays he looks more of a liability, and while the squad has improved he's remained pretty consistently dreadful. If he starts against City, I hope he proves me spectacularly wrong.

                                You just fancy him, init.
