I'm not sure I'd trust Markovic on the left of midfield - Moreno would be exposed. I'd like to see Allen on the left of the diamond helping Moreno out. Markovic would certainly offer a threat from the bench ... at least for this game.

Didn't even recognise Ballotelli in those earlier photos when hes smiling!

I think we'll start to raise our game finally for this one....
What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

Lovern/Sakho/Skrtel as our back 3 will provide safety when our wing backs push up.
Hope Moreno is fit so he can start on the left and I would play Flano if fit on the right if he ain't then I Sterling will be doing a good job there. As he did a few times last season.

Gerrard, Allen, Henderson will make up the 5 mids with Balo & Sturridge leading the line.

Don't want to see us playing with only 1 man upfront as we did vs Citeh. At times we had no more than 1 player in their box.

We'll beat these by the odd goal I reckon. They have to concede at some point.
They were pretty terrible against West Ham. The scrapped a win, but I guess a wins a win.

Thrashing QPR was not great shakes either, they are trying to force a new formation on players who cant do it.

They will be strong though, Lamela seems to have remembered how to run and kick a ball again.

          Here's the team folks:

          Mignolet
          Manquillo - Skrtel - Lovren - Moreno
          Gerrard
          Henderson - Allen
          Sterling
          BALOTELLI - Sturridge

          Smash 'em.

Spurs are nothing special and any team serious about winning the title should beat them with ease. I think we need this win to have genuine aspirations, more over, I think a win would show we're still the team to worry about in a race for fourth.
              Forwards.......

Still, they are top of the league

No, they weren't great last season but I rate the manager. Lamela, I hear, is starting to play a bit so is like a new signing.

No easy away games in the PL and I still see this as harder than most. Last season was the first time we've won there in quite a while. Add in the fact they should have a settled team while we're still integrating so many new joiners, I'd be delighted with a win.

I agree with the first bit, the last bit is a bit simplistic though, I mean last seasons league winners lost at Cardiff, Aston Villa, Sunderland and all kinds of ****.

We'd be top if we played West Ham and QPR.

me too..... sturrdige definately more effective in a front 2 as opposed to playing up top on his own....

should be a good game. There's likely to be goals galore.

Winning the first 2 games although uglyin the 1st one as you said will give them confidence. Hopefully over confidence so we can **** 'em nice and proper.

Forgot Spurs are in Europa league action tonight. That makes me more confident.

See Ben Davis is playing for them. Hope sterling gives him a proper roasting on Sunday, with balo completing the spit

Yeah let's hope they pick up a few injuries to key players. It's a shame it's a home tie instead of some out back multi flight hell hole location.
