So apparently Sturridge, Skrtel, Johnson, Can, Flanno and Allen are all ruled out of Villa. Isn't a midfield of Gerrard, Henderson and Coutinho a given then? Or does Lallana start in place of Coutinho. Maybe Sterling and Balotelli upfront with Lallana and Coutinho in midfield? That's before taking Lambert and Markovich under consideration......I just can't predict our team, hope Paul Lambert is having similar problems

I have a feeling Coutinho will start this one, which means IMO that Sterling and Balotello will be upfront together if Lallana starts. Good that Rodgers has options for once.

Would give us the option of switching between a 433 and a 4312 easier. Plus think Villa would be more worried about the pace of Mario and Raheem, than dealing with Lambert.

That being said, I'd love Lambert to start and score.

Mario has had a bit of a bug that we wanted to make sure he didn't spread around the group. But he'll be okay for Saturday.

Allen is injured, we need to attack, I think Lallana will start in the bench given Rodgers' comments about him getting some minutes over the next matches.
