Crap that but we were crap against them at home last season and had quite a decent season though. That will happen to everyone in the league this season and already has happened to City, just cant let it happen multiple times.

This game showed what I was worried about, a lot of players needing to bed in we didn't look like a team today. Also the Champions league is a distraction, was probably playing on our minds, the decision to rest Sterling was like a reminder of the Rafa days resting Torres or Gerrard and not getting a result. Despite the number of strikers we have we can't cope with out Sturridge or Sterling. Defensively we were poor, the two centre backs need to cut out the mistakes.

I thought that the referee was awful as well I thought that Senderos and Hutton were both lucky not to see red.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Absolute drivel, awful lethargy and pedestrian play.
Two shots on goal with a defence consisting of Senderos...and at home.
Run out of ideas? Had none. Really disappointed in how poor we are; we need a kick up the arse and we're only a few games in.

Yep, he should have taken a leaf out of Roy's book.
            Are we winning?

              Really? You've not mentioned this.
              3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Clearly not chazzahs fault. I didn't know he had escaped though.

Horrific from both the players and also the fans. Dreadful atmosphere once again that seems to filter down to the players.

Already has that feel of 2010/11 season....

Absolutely **** to be honest, heard someone say during the game "we've been in control though haven't we".. NO, control isn't possession and they were comfortable for 90 minutes bar Coutinho hitting the post.

1 shot on target at Anfield.. Seriously..

I know there were new players in but the shape was non-existent and our tempo was a snails pace with nobody making any runs in behind. Markovic, I know it was his first game but he needs to have a go instead of passing the ball on because we had too much of that today. Our attacking players need to take the initiative and not look for someone else to do it, tough day for the lad, worked hard enough I suppose.

They were better than us before they scored though.

Markovic isn't good enough, and neither is Balotelli. Coutinho is still in an inconsistent phase and Lallana should have been sat behind a front two, although he did his best. And we bring on substandard subs and hope Sterling can change the game. Desperate stuff really. We can and will play a lot better than that, but we have too little up front to challenge for the title imo.

yet when we get 40% possession we can win 3 or 4-0.

too much passing around at the back.

patient build up meh. they were never going to come out and get it, just a couple of their lads pressing us, as soon as we cross the half way they press, so we pass back and go again...
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Credit to Paul Lambert he's worked out the formula to neutralising us at Anfield. We seem to have at least 1 games like this every season - we're expected to beat a team easily and end up playing ****e and dropping points, happened last season at Hull, Newcastle and against Villa at home.
