LFC v villa post match. scapegoat thread

Such a bad performance, from defence right up the the frontline. Know doubts i'll get **** for this as it's early doors but I am far from convinced about Lovren.. he has been very poor since joining us. He didn't do much at Lyon, was ok for Southampton & suddenly he joins us and people think he's the missing link. I've read some people say he plays on the front foot etc that's another way of saying he vacates his position, gets sucked into play & loses his man. If eople think Skrtel is rash.. **** me this guy is a maniac. He literally has done this in every game he has played for us, talk about a rush of blood to the head. People blamed Skrtel beside him, but 'so far' he is not the master organiser some people have made out. As for Sakho, i don't think he has done anything to suggest to can become a top defender at LFC just yet. This may very well change in the future but at the moment we have a very obvious problem at CB. Finding a CB pairing at LFC is very worrying... i have no idea what the **** Rodgers is going to do there.

Not saying I completely disagree with your comments, but it's a bit too early to judge IMO, never-mind a complete u-turn on his ability.

Disappointing performance all round, so glad I didn't log on myself last night to vent.

Am a bit disappointed with the Sterling decision though. Looking at that bench, he always seemed destined to come on regardless of score, so why not start him then and take him off early? Think Tuesday would have been a much better environment for Markovic's full debut. Easy saying that from here though, so if resting him for this spared him picking up an injury, then maybe it was the right call.

Re. Balotelli: Not his greatest game, but am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt if he wasn't feeling well. Still confident he'll come good in the next few weeks.

yeah apparently some new premier league ruling to enhance the experience or some ****e so i was told yesterday yeah enhance it by having 6 new floodlights right in my eyeline

Nah i don't remember you joking about me apparently over rated players at other teams..like who exactly out of interest?

Also who did i say was **** that we have signed? Nobody is judging anyone, stating obvious things that have went on in a game & that plenty of other posters have said here is not exactly venting.

Said Lovren was a decent CB previous, don't recall me saying he was **** or writing him off, if you can find a post that i've said either.. i would appreciate the recall as you do.

All i've said is that i am not convinced by Lovren, it's my opinion and it seems one shared by others. I said if People think Skrtel is rash, so is Lovren.. a comment seemed to be shared by other posters.

I've said that i haven't really been impressed by Sakho, a comment that isn't exactly out of the realms or slating the guy.

I've said that when Lovren was at Lyon and Southampton nobody was really arsed about him or considered him for LFC.

As for Balotelli, he had a **** game and didn't work.... again just stating the obvious sick or not sick. I was under the impression that i've posted that we simply played too many new players in the same starting 11, also a sentiment shared by most. Maybe i'm the Balotelli of EST and you're the tabloids .. why always me or maybe i just had too many scoops

A combination of those floodlights - blinding for a few seconds if you looked in their direction and epileptic inducing flashing advertising hoardings meant I had to watch the match for 90 minutes plus added time.

Haha, maybe I shouldn't have highlighted the whole paragraph. I was just interested in your views on Lovren who when he played for Southampton was a 'very good player' and one we should sign. Now that he has signed and plays for LFC, after 3 games he's 'unconvincing, rash etc.', suddenly he was only 'ok' for Southampton and you've also obviously went back and watched old Lyon videos of him, because while at Southampton your comments indicated that you hadn't seen him play for Lyon, but now he's here you can criticise him for doing nothing at Lyon.


Edit: I maybe misconstrued your previous Lyon comments, you thought he was decent for Lyon, so one would assume had seen him play.
