Balotelli's positioning makes no sense to me. At all. The reason we seem so aimless in the final third is there's often no final pass to make. Hull have been appalling on the ball which has made life easy. Our build up is decent, but we were much better in the first 15mins when we were direct but keeping it on the deck rather than aerial.

Mine too. I think he even realised himself and said it wasn't mean to be be anti-Balotelli show. Then carried on regardless.

Can and Allen are doing a whole bunch of nothing. There's nothing there.

It's why I sort of get the impression he will play better in a two. He does have that Rooney like tendancy to come waaaaaaaay too deep for the ball. Hopefully with a partner like Sturridge up there the movement will provide better options for us.

              Hopefully.

Ball started staying central, but he's ended up on the left wing most of the time

Marginally better than QPR so far, in so much as we're not under the cosh.

Joe Allen - how, why, when was he a £15m player?

Poor touch from Allen. That kind of unforced error is undoing us all over the place.
Our midfield seems to have lost the ability to transport the ball from defence to attack at the moment which is why our defenders keep lumping it over the top.

Yeah I agree he'll look better with a partner. But what worries me is I don't see him as a creative force, so if he's not making runs to finish moves and he's not creative, what is he? I'm not sure I understand his role in the team, nor his identity as an individual player. Being involved keeping things ticking over, holding the ball etc is not enough for a forward to offer. There's got to be more than that..

Started to look a bit more threatening and it's good to see us trying to play at a higher tempo

                              He's barely a player.
