World class players will want to join us if we offer them the wages they want but we can't because of FSG's ludicrous transfer/wage policy.Originally posted by Leyton388 View PostSo much for the

Wow, that was shockingly bad. I've resisted commenting on the poor form so far but i can't take it anymore.
How has Moreno managed to get this far in professional football without any ability on his right foot. If he were english, he would have copped a lot more stick already. His pace and attacking mindset don't make being defensively weak ok.
Lovren's distribution was the worst i have seen in a while. Even considering the lack of movement was a definite problem for him, Gerrard, Allen, Henderson and Johnson.
I felt sorry for Raheem Sterling, he kept having 40 yard floaters lofted at him? why? when he is probably the smallest player on the field. Same old Balotelli, need Borini's forward runs to give the opposition centre backs something to think about.
Otherwise the midfield will continue to pass back with no forward options and Sterling will have far less space to run in to.Y.N.W.A!!!!!!

He tried to change it but wasn't the right change. Team was all over the place. We were lucky Newcastle were ****, Madrid or Chelsea would have had a field day against that today.Originally posted by Muddled View PostAnd for those who question Rodgers and how he seems to be refusing to change his methods; Today is that day he changed. We clearly worked on a formation to be compact in defence, but it looked like the players were so focused on their role within this new formation, they forgot how to attack. Clearly it needs some tweaking, but that's going to come with game time.
Newcastle won because we are kamikaze at the back, not because they were creating chance after chance. We matched them for shape and never looked overly threatened.
Rodgers set us up to try be more compact and stable defensively but absolutely killed us in attack..which has been a huge problem already this season. That formation totally negated Sterling,Coutinho & Balotelli. He just keeps choosing the wrong personnel for me too, Choosing Lovren & Johnson is asking for kamikaze Muds.
I don't think Rodgers knows what players to play where & what way we should play.

They only gave Suarez that £250k a week contract as they new they would sell him in the summer and never have to pay him that. All smoke and mirrors.

Happens overnight for loads of teams, you need a clear plan and clear roles, noone seems to have an idea how we are playing or what to do. That is 100% on BR IMO.Originally posted by Muddled View PostThing is, you can't have it both ways. We've been blasting Rodgers for having such a porous defence; Rodgers goes and addresses it to the detriment of our attacking football and it's still not right. This is not a change that will happen over night.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
