If the reason for the players being dropped is poor form then I'd be all for it but its clearly not is it because the lads on the bench played against Newcastle and will again against Chelsea.

I do understand this view and if I cared enough or was ten years younger I'd be the same. But for me last year was about trying to win the league, qualifying for the champions league was nothing but a consolation prize, a poor one. Look at arsenal, it makes me sick,a team entering year in and never having a hope of winning it, what's the ****ing point? I had hoped we could attract star players because of it to help us domestically, sadly not.

I can see the logic. Beat Ludogarets and Basel and we are guaranteed to qualify. Win tonight and we still need to beat them really. We might get away with a draw against one of them, depending on other results, but it doesn't dramatically change the situation. So from a purely logical point of view Chelsea is the bigger game, as a loss would do more harm to our chances in that competition.

Does feel odd though, got to be honest. We are built on trying to win every game, and don't tend to do well when we pick a weakened side out of choice rather than injury or form. Still got to get right behind them tonight, and we might be able to nick something, you never know...

Made up that a lot of **** like Lovren and Johnson have been dropped, we're stronger by definition of those useless ****ers not been included, I wouldn't have stopped there, Allen should have been ****ed off as well and pick someone that actually serves a purpose
