    Lovren

All out of form and the others have at least proven they'll graft when given the chance.
Rodgers has said the backbone will kick start their season (i.e.Lovren, Johnson, Gerrard
    hendo) , so we'll concede 3 .....

Borini for Balotelli and I'd agree. For me, the most effort he has put in was when he realised his number was on the board the other week. An that was for 30 seconds and he still gave the ball away
        Football without Origi is nothing

I don't know why we keep posting formations with 2 up top. He ain't going to do that.

Yup, don't think he'll do it until Sturridge is back.

And then when we suprisingly play a bit better it'll all be put down to the return of Sturridge.
The times they are a changin'.

                  The Lambert Borini combo

                  Or Borini on his own

I think our main problems at the moment are:

                    (1) We can't defend for ****
                    (2) We don't seem to be creating enough clear opportunities in the penalty area

For me the temporary solution to both of these issues is to move gerrard to the #10 role behind either one or two strikers. He is more likely to create something out of nothing from that position on the pitch.......

If we drop points in this game then i feel that our season is screwed to be honest. Our league season anyway.......
Balotelli was at the boxing tonight, so it's safe to assume that he's not playing.
That rug really tied the room together.

I'd love to shake things up today and for Brendan to take a few risks with his selection, although I guarantee it'll be the same out of form players and no threat up top.

                      Another frustrating afternoon ahead.

I can see another frustrating day ahead as well. Anything but 3 points and for me it is disaster time. Why? Because Palace are ****e. We should be winning this game comfortably....Sturridge or no Sturridge, Balotelli or no Balotelli. If lambert and/or Borini get the nod today, and don't do anything positive then they can both **** off and bring Brendan with them because we are essentially playing a glorified championship team today that are managed by a ****in retard dinosaur......

We could see a team today that has Lambert, Allen, Johnson, Gerrard and Henderson in it.

The only time I will ever say this: thank feck I'm going to IKEA. No internet access and no radio reception.
                              One tit for another.

in reality we are playing a glorified championship team. I suspect that crystal palace haven't spent a total of £100m on players in their history......so the fact is that we should beat them easily. If we don't - regardless of injuries - then Brendan hasn't done his job.

I am all for positivity, looking at the bigger picture and giving people a chance but in reality there can't be any excuses today. A win is the only acceptable outcome...
