I think it's a bit short sighted and wishful thinking to want Rafa backOriginally posted by Lecter View PostRafa would struggle with this squad, we havent got a single defender capable of defending
We wanted young, so did Fenway, it would of continued to work well if Suarez would of stayed and we could of fed them in graduallyOriginally posted by Yozza View PostIsn't Rodgers responsible for having a young inexperience squad? Poor excuse'The tide is very much in our court now.'

never would have guessed that. Sterling was hardly involved in the game at all and Johnson was hardly providing an outlet down the flankOriginally posted by Shaggy View Post

A bit **** stirring that. Dwight Gayle was the only Palace player who made 'more than 60 sprints'. That's one each side IMO, and they're a counter attacking side so ought to be sprinting a lot.Originally posted by Shaggy View Post

Exactly, they were chasing us down while we had all the possession. Most of those Gayle sprints would have been chasing down our back 4 (who we passed it around for the entire 90 minsOriginally posted by Norbs View PostA bit **** stirring that. pass completion rate is one of the biggest red herrings of our time. completely masks the purpose and intent by which a team goes about its business.Originally posted by fidget View PostAllen made 48 out of 49 and gerrard 54 out of 68 with 10 out of 19 into the attacking third and one pass leading to a shot

Agreed I hate those stats that are meaningless without contextOriginally posted by alonso14 View Postpass completion rate is one of the biggest red herrings ofour time. completely masks the purpose and intent by which a team goes about its business.
Its like when Brendan (in his first season) use to drone on about the amount of possession we had
I remember Jimmy Case saying that possession was useless if you do nothing with itBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
