Allen kept the ball and kept his flank solid. You may call him neutral, and he is. But you don't see teams strolling through his side of the pitch and in fairness, we should have enough players in the side who can win a game without needing every single player on the pitch to have the ability to dribble past three of four or do a defence splitting pass.Originally posted by Lecter View PostIt looked at times first half we were playing 2 up top but second half he quickly reverted to 1 up top
People will no doubt think Allen played well but for me he's so neutral. Doesn't win enough possession, isn't physical enough, get shrugged off the ball easily, when he gets possession first thought is play it sideways or backwards
There is little or no pressure on the ball, we don't compete for second balls and defensively we are a shambles.
People talk about Gerrard being done but to me that could also apply to Lovren and Johnson who are anonymous week in week out
You can't afford to carry players and week in week out we carry 3 or 4
I am not convinced he's gonna turn this round. He drops players who should be playing and persists with those who shouldnt
But for me, without Hendo, should have been Can & Allen in midfield with one of Gerrard or Lucas playing away from home. One of our million or so forward thinking players at the tip, and two up top.Forwards.......

If the referee sets the tone, then surely he has to be consistent and give the 'foul' on Skrtel from Hangeland then?
The standard of officiating in this league is atrocious.
If the Couthino one was a foul Sterling should have had a penalty right after they scored.Football without Origi is nothing

They're not all legends or immune to the hook though are they?Originally posted by cream View PostExcept it's not just Gerrard is it. Lovren, Johnson, Coutinho, Sterling, Mingolet, Lambert, Manquillo are all ****ing wank TBH.
I'd say that Gerrard,Johnson and Lovren are woeful week in week out.Glass Half Full

Sorry mate but Rodgers got us a second place and playing the best football this club has seen since we last won the the league. Yes things are going wrong big time for him right now but to lump him in with Hodgson is not on IMO.Originally posted by kemm1 View PostDon't we say that for every new manager? This has been going on for 20 years.
Bodge and Rodgers have just taken us to new lows.

If us being bullied at the back was only issue, then it's so etching we could work on. But when we are creating NOTHING going forwards then it's a struggle.Originally posted by Lecter View PostSo is Allen
Carragher has it right we are easily bullied and that is happening all over the pitchForwards.......

Lec HATES Allen. He's so predictable (this is the same man that supported Dalglish and his signings of Downing, Adam and Carroll).
