    Agreed

Just looking at that photo, we always leave a man on the back post, yet in that photo we dont have anyone on the back post I presume the player marked No.10 has come off the post

Shouldnt you stay on your post until the ball is cleared????

Kind of pointless putting someone there if they arent going to stay there

Dont think that would have made a difference in the grand scheme of things but in terms of defending a corner in the correct manner you dont move off your post until the ball is cleared

We do so much wrong these days, like Lovren stepping out the "penalty box lines" at the weekend and not clearing the ball or the man, not staying goalside of people, not staying on your post, not competing for second balls when they are cleared

Its ****ing simple basic stuff and really players shouldnt have to be reminded of this but yet we see failings in these departments week in week out

I think he did do that

Seem to remember moaning that we never had an outlet, although to be fair to Rafa we werent quite this bad at defending set pieces

Allen steps off the post, pretty sure he does.

They dont know how to defend. The amount of times it happens and the manner indicates the coaching of defending is either piss poor or non existent.

Need someone to organise the defence. There's no way we should have conceded with that many men back against the 'aerial might' of Ludogerets. If I was a Ludogerets fan and looked at that, I would think every Xmas has come early.

            allen.

rodgers should batter this into the players until they are repeating the mantra in their ****ing sleep and it becomes second nature.

to many smiles in training, its all a ****ing laugh.

rodgers needs to stop being everyones mate and get his shouty head on.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

It wasnt costly or anything so it doesnt matter except in the context that if you want to get use to defending properly you have to do things right

I am not sure how much coaching would help but one thing is for certain whoever we play in those positions currently are either not good enough or not well drilled / coached enough

Regardless of the context of the result, it should never be irrelevant that you concede a goal and drop points. Just spreads the wrong message to an already appalling set of defenders. Just think the whole attitude towards defending is slack at the club. It was last season too.

Tell you what was even more ****ing annoying last night is that an hour or so after our game they had a repeat of the 2005 Champions League final

The other day I was talking about the curent team & management and about Rafa's first season to a mate

Rafa's Valencia were superb at pressing the ball high and dominating possession I remember them killing us at Anfield one pre-season with their press and I was saying to my mate that Rafa never really managed to get that high pressing game with us consistently

Then I saw the 2005 final last night, the second half when we come out and get the 3 goals against Milan we are all over them like a ****ing rash

Watch it back again and the intensity of the pressing and the hunting in packs is a joy to watch for those 20 or 30 minutes. Milan just dont have any time to breathe

It reminded me of how we played at times last season, we would come out press high, hunt in packs and blitz teams and then we could lower the intensity a bit

Now the tempo, the intensity, the high press is miles off, there is no hunting in packs we just plod. When we do try and press high its individuals and not as a collective

                  ****ing shocking

Will have to watch the final again. We had the high press to a tee last season. The tempo of our game was really quick too. Has been slowed right down now. Only seem us press high this season on the odd occasion. Did v Chelsea in first 10 mins then dropped off.
