Really pleased with that today, a win and a clean sheet.

Much better second half but still need to work hard on every other aspect of our game.

Thank **** Lovren was benched, lets hope it remains that way. Don't know what's going on with the summer signings, each and every single one of them benched. Makes you wonder whether BR actually wanted to sign a single one of them.

Btw, first half, Coutinho had a shocker and the way he was acting was disgusting. But much improved 2nd half.
      Forwards.......

He either threatens to look a world beater or stinks up the place its really frustrating he should have been dragged off vs Palace but was our best player vs Chelsea.

Rodgers asked about new signings not being in team: “We needed players in the team who have got quality and experience”.

Rodgers could have just said he wanted to use the players who know each other's game, which I think would actually be a god idea, than integrate the new players one by one.

Good result today and although it wasn't pretty it was needed.

I'm not getting tired of Neville, he's still speaking sense

Bit harsh IMO - we weren't getting the ball into him quick enough. He wasn't great but the best chance we had first half was his brilliant run until he was fouled off balance before shooting.

He was certainly much improved second half though when the tempo lifted, as was the rest of the team.

I thought we did alright today. Stoke are no mugs but we deserved to win on balance of play. First half our build up was far far too slow, but we were solid. Second half we upped the tempo and looked dangerous. I thought it was noticeable how much more open we looked when Lucas went off though - he should stay for the foreseeable future while we're playing with 1 up front. I'd like to see Can in for Allen too as others have suggested.

Overall though, that was a good game to win. Take the points and move on. I'd take the same in our next two games.

I thought he was terrible today, complete lack of effort & gave the ball away so much. Apart from the initial 6 months or so when he first joined.. he has been up and down. So talented but so frustrating too. Personally i'd rather we start Lallana ahead of him vs Leicester.

A huge win and a cleansheet. Second half it looked as if the team was remembering how they played last season. It was ugly but we need a few performances like this and the confidence will slowly start coming back.

                            Yeah, but it won't happen.
