    Typical rubbish I read everywhere.

When the team was playing great it was down to the players.

When the team is playing rubbish it's down to the manager.

I praised Rodgers for last year, and believe me, though I try and be positive in the main on here for balance, he gets both barrels from me for this seasons mess. But I dish out the praise equally and where it's deserved to all parties. And I'm talking FSG, transfer committee, manager & players. All are culpable for the highs & lows.
    Forwards.......

Rodgers was brave last year, made some bold selections and decisions and reaped the rewards

Hes reaping exactly what hes sowed this season

Oh I fully agree. Praise for last season, abuse for this. Fairs fair. Gets paid a good wage, doubt he'll complain. Walk into Anfield & you know what's expected. Got a bit flippant last night when his mask dropped slightly, but to be expected. High pressure and all.

When it comes to Rodgers I'm losing patience too, but I'd give him the season and then sack him if he doesn't turn it around. Letting a new manager come in with a new transfer window is always a good idea.
I really don't agree, it's also become somewhat of a broken record to call a poster a broken record you know? Some posters adamantly point out something they wan't to point out and other what they wan't to point out, shouldn't really matter if the contents are negative, maybe if they are rude or if posters resort to namecalling, that's on the grey, but like Lecter says we are all frustrated, we need to be allowed to vent.

LOL! Too true mate. The tan, the teeth, the bird ... last season's gone to his head. He's a ****ing joke and he needs to shape up or **** off. He needs 13 points from the next 4 games to save his job.

I can't fathom why he's leaving the likes of Can, Llalana, Sakho, Moreno and Manquillo on the bench or out of the squad and wasting time with Enrique, Johnson and Allen. FFS those are some decent ****ing players who with a string of games behind them could start to show their value. Instead they're behind a bunch of feckless, talentless cunts and wind up being judged on the odd ten minutes here and fifteen minutes there.

Get it together Rodgers. In the words of Bill Shankly, "If you are first you are first. If you are second, you are nothing." You're only as good as your last result and at this point last season means nothing. Earn your keep or piss off back to some second-rate team.

we need more man strength and aggression all through our team. we have turned into a team of ****ing wimps.

I think Sturridge will make a huge difference when he does get back
I think there's some wishful thinking going on there and a lot of misguided hope. Sturridge had a great year last year because Saurez took the defenders focus and helped create lots of opportunities. No doubting he's a good player, but he's not a game changer like Saurez. Given how we've been playing with little to no creativity, he'll be kicked all over the park and marked out of games. How long before the masses turn on him too?

Good for them! They deserve to enjoy their moment in the sun. It's not like we were the better team and they stole it from us. We were gash - we deserve nothing.

Our record with Sturridge and no Suarez is excellent. As if having our best player and one of the best strikers in Europe in the side won't make much of a difference

I think you underrate him hugely. And of course he's a game changer, he's scored some ridiculously good goals or very simple looking game changing goals like v Southampton in the first game.

He actually scores just as many or more without Suarez so the idea that he needs Suarez to take all the defenders away doesnt wash.

League games with Sturridge and no Suarez :

Played 12, won 8, drawn 2, lost 2. Sturridge 10 goals. 2.16 points per game.

We knew he was injury prone so should have planned ahead better but make no mistake he's a ****ing brilliant player and goalscorer.

There is also the possibility that some of his irrational decisions are due to Rodgers not knowing how to handle the pressure associated with a blip in a club of the size of Liverpool. He is relative inexperienced and young and there is no one in his coaching team ( Mike Marsh, Pascoe) who have the experience in dealing with a club of this scale.

Which would be not to mention that when they played together he made Balotelli look like a football player - which is increasingly looking like performance of the season stuff.

It was against Spurs mind you. Hard to tell how good that performance was in that context.
